The Coptic film, St. Mark the Apostle was blessed by the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate with the introduction by H.H. Pope Shenouda III, the 117th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.
The film outlines the evangelism of St. Mark when he returned to his home continent of Africa after the ascension of our Lord God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
St. Mark the Evangelist is called "the Lion", and "the Beholder of God".
