Ishida Mitsunari (石田 三成, 1559 – November 6, 1600) was a samurai of the late Sengoku period of Japan. He is probably best remembered as the commander of the Western army in the Battle of Sekigahara following the Azuchi-Momoyama period of the 16th century. Also known by his court title, Jibu-no-shō (治部少輔).
He was born in the north of Ōmi Province (which is now Nagahama city, Shiga prefecture), and was the second son of Ishida Masatsugu, who was a retainer for the Azai clan. His childhood name was Sakichi (佐吉). The Ishida withdrew from service after the Azai's defeat in 1573. According to legend, he was a monk in a Buddhist temple before he served Toyotomi Hideyoshi, but the accuracy of this legend is doubted since it only came about during the Edo period.
Mitsunari met Toyotomi Hideyoshi when the former was still young and the latter was the daimyo of Nagahama. When Hideyoshi engaged in a campaign in the Chūgoku region, Mitsunari assisted his lord in attacks against castles like the Tottori Castle and Takamatsu Castle (in present-day Okayama).
Sengoku Basara (戦国BASARA) is a series of video games developed and published by Capcom, and a bigger media franchise based on it, including three anime series and an animated film. Its story is very loosely based on real events of the titular Sengoku era in the history of feudal Japan.
The original game in the series, released in 2005 only for the PS2 as a "crowd-fighting" action game in the vein of Koei's similarly themed Samurai Warriors series. Devil Kings, an English-language version of the game featured an altered gameplay and a completely different, supposedly more western audience-oriented fantasy story with original characters, which was however never used again due to the mostly negative response the localization received from critics as well as consumers.
The 2004 sequel, also for the PS2. The game was also ported to the Wii.
A 2D fighting game by Arc System Works, creators of the Guilty Gear series, made in 2008 for the arcades and ported for the PS2 later the same year.
The white tiger is a pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger, which is reported in the wild from time to time in the Indian states of Assam, Bengal, Bihar, Sunderbans and especially in the former State of Rewa.
The white Bengal tigers are distinctive due to the color of their fur. The white fur caused by a lack of the pigment pheomelanin, which is found in Bengal tigers with orange color fur. When compared to Bengal tigers, the white Bengal tigers tend to grow faster and heavier than the orange Bengal tiger. They also tend to be somewhat bigger at birth, and as fully grown adults. White Bengal tigers are fully grown when they are 2–3 years of age. White male tigers reach weights of 200 to 230 kilograms and can grow up to 3 meters in length. As with all tigers, the white Bengal tiger’s stripes are like fingerprints, with no two tigers having the same pattern. The stripes of the tiger are a pigmentation of the skin; if an individual were to be shaved, its distinctive coat pattern would still be visible. For a white Bengal tiger to be born, both parents must carry the unusual gene for white colouring, which only happens naturally about once in 10,000 births. Dark-striped white individuals are well-documented in the Bengal tiger subspecies (Panthera tigris tigris or P. t. bengalensis) as well as having been reported historically in several other subspecies. Currently, several hundred white tigers are in captivity worldwide, with about one hundred being found in India. Their unique white color fur has made them popular in entertainment showcasing exotic animals, and at zoos.
Ni-Oh (仁王, lit. "benevolent king") is an upcoming historical action role-playing game being developed by Team Ninja, to be published by Koei Tecmo exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
The game follows the story of William (Loosely based upon William Adams), a blond-haired Samurai and son of a Japanese lord and a Western woman during the Warring States period in 16th-century Japan.
Originally announced by Koei in 2004 (before their merger with Tecmo made them Koei Tecmo), the game is based on an unfinished script by legendary Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa titled Oni (Japanese word for demon). The game was to be released with a companion film, also titled Oni, that would have seen the directoral debut of Hisao Kurosawa, Akira Kurosawa's son. Hisao Kurosawa was completing his father's script with assistance from game producer Kou Shibusawa of Koei, with a combined production budget of ¥ 3 billion for both film and game. "When reading Hisao Kurosawa's script," Shibusawa said during a press conference, "it gave me the impression of stories like 'Seven Samurai' and 'The Hidden Fortress' -- I felt the common DNA between him and Akira Kurosawa."
Sengoku Basara 4 (戦国BASARA4) is the fourth installment of the Sengoku Basara games, developed and published by Capcom for PlayStation 3. The game was released in Japan on January 23, 2014.
A high-definition version of the game for PlayStation 4 titled Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi was released in Japan on July 23, 2015.
Sengoku Basara 4 is a single player Hack and Slash game. At a glance, the game plays similarly to a Dynasty Warriors game or other Warrior Style games. Players choose characters from a diverse roster to face out against entire battlefields of enemies by themselves. The gameplay is accessible enough so that any player can jump in to the action, but rewards players for mixing up their combos by offering them more gold or power. This installment introduces new mechanics to the series while retaining older mechanics from previous games.
Every character moves with the analog stick. Tapping a direction twice will make the character enter a dashing state, which will last as long as you hold the direction and never return to neutral, use a move, or get hit. Jumping during this state, even if it's immediately after dashing, will make character go further and faster than a normal jump would take them.
