Oklahoma i/ˌoʊkləˈhoʊmə/ (Cherokee: Asgaya gigageyi / ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎩᎦᎨᏱ; or translated ᎣᎦᎳᎰᎹ (òɡàlàhoma), Pawnee: Uukuhuúwa,Cayuga: Gahnawiyoˀgeh) is a state located in the South Central United States. Oklahoma is the 20th most extensive and the 28th most populous of the 50 United States. The state's name is derived from the Choctaw words okla and humma, meaning "red people". It is also known informally by its nickname, The Sooner State, in reference to the non-Native settlers who staked their claims on the choicest pieces of land prior to the official opening date, and the Indian Appropriations Act of 1889, which opened the door for white settlement in America's Indian Territory. The name was settled upon statehood, Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory were merged and Indian was dropped from the name. On November 16, 1907, Oklahoma became the 46th state to enter the union. Its residents are known as Oklahomans, or informally "Okies", and its capital and largest city is Oklahoma City.
An alliance is a relationship among people, groups, or states that have joined together for mutual benefit or to achieve some common purpose, whether or not explicit agreement has been worked out among them. Members of an alliance are called allies. Alliances form in many settings, including political alliances, military alliances, and business alliances. When the term is used in the context of war or armed struggle, such associations may also be called allied powers, especially when discussing World War I or World War II.
A formal military alliance is not required for being perceived as an ally—co-belligerence, fighting alongside someone, is enough. According to this usage, allies become so not when concluding an alliance treaty but when struck by war.
When spelled with a capital "A", the word "Allies" usually denotes the countries who fought together against the Central Powers in World War I (the Allies of World War I), or those who fought against the Axis Powers in World War II (the Allies of World War II). The term has also been used by the United States Army to describe the countries that gave assistance to the South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Oklahoma Alliance is an American women’s soccer team, founded in 2007. The team is a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League, the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada. The team plays in the South Division of the Big Sky Conference.
In earlier seasons the team played its home games in the stadium on the campus of Chickasha High School in the city of Chickasha, Oklahoma, but the team moved to the pitches of the Edmond Soccer Club in Edmond, Oklahoma—a city in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The club's colors are black and white.

The Alliance for Animals was established in 1988, by a small group of animal advocates dedicated to bringing humane education and affordable veterinary services to inner city Boston, USA. In addition to bringing services to the people, Alliance brought life-saving rescue to the animals of Boston.
Since 1988, the Alliance for Animals has gone from a handful of volunteers working from their homes, to an organization staffed by veterinarians, technicians, administrative workers, and volunteers. Since 1988, the Alliance for Animals has spayed/neutered and provided other veterinary services for approximately 60,000 animals with the help of Alliance's Metro Action Clinic in South Boston. The Alliance has also rescued and secured permanent, loving homes for another 4,500 cats and dogs.
The Alliance for Animals operates Boston's only no-kill shelter for cats and dogs. The shelter and low-cost veterinary clinic is located at 232 Silver Street in South Boston. The organization assists those animals that would otherwise have no chance - the animals other shelters turn away.
Agile software development is a set of software development methods in which requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing,cross-functional teams. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, continuous improvement, and encourages rapid and flexible response to change.
The Manifesto for Agile Software Development, also known as the Agile Manifesto, was first proclaimed in 2001, six years after "agile methodology" was originally introduced in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The manifesto came out of the DSDM Consortium in 1994, although its roots go back to the mid 1980s at DuPont and texts by James Martin and James Kerr et al.
Incremental software development methods trace back to 1957. In 1974, E. A. Edmonds wrote a paper that introduced an adaptive software development process. Concurrently and independently, the same methods were developed and deployed by the New York Telephone Company's Systems Development Center under the direction of Dan Gielan. In the early 1970s, Tom Gilb started publishing the concepts of evolutionary project management (EVO), which has evolved into competitive engineering. During the mid- to late 1970s, Gielan lectured extensively throughout the U.S. on this methodology, its practices, and its benefits.

Meet the leaders of the newly created Oklahoma Agile Alliance. We are proud to have our Phase 2 team member, Justin Blackwelder, help support and create this group. This user group aims to build a sense of community of people working with Agile in its various forms in Oklahoma. We would aim to increase the general Agile skill levels within the community. Coming together with the spirit of collaboration, experimentation and voluntarism, we would explore ways of bringing the Agile Manifesto and principles to our teams and our organizations. The first meeting for the Oklahoma Agile Alliance Group was led by Dianna DeMotto, Justin Blackwelder, Shane Fry, and Mark Mitchell on February 14th. The goal was to prioritize topics that we as a group can help each other as we implement the "philosop...
