Cops send strong message about husband of NY doc Krystal Cascetta, who shot baby in murder-suicide
The husband of a New York City oncologist who fatally shot her 4-month-old daughter before turning the gun on herself was absolutely not involved in the horrible tragedy despite rumors swirling on social media, a New York State Trooper insisted on Tuesday.
Steven Nevel, a public information officer, laid to rest any online rumors that heartbroken husband and father Tim Talty had any involvement in the deaths of his 40-year-old wife Dr. Krystal Cascetta and their baby.
“The trolls on social media are dragging the husband through the mud,” Nevel told Today.com. “But I can tell you 100% unequivocally, without a doubt, that he did not do this.”
The officer reiterated that Talty — a 37-year-old entrepreneur who owns a protein bar company named after himself — was not at the couple’s $1 mill...

Mitch McConnell drowned out by chants of ‘retire’ during speech
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was drowned out by jeers and chants of “retire” during a speech in Kentucky Saturday, just days after the Republican lawmaker froze up midsentence at an event.
While speaking at the Fancy Farm picnic, one of his home state’s main political events, the 81-year-old Republican received some positive cheers before getting drowned out by an angry crowd screaming “Shame on you,” “Ditch Mitch,” “Retire” and “Lost the Senate.”
“This is my 28th Fancy Farm, and I want to assure you it’s not my last,” McConnell said at the top of his breakfast speech, only vaguely addressing the overarching concerns about his health.
McConnell, seemingly unbothered, continued with his speech without acknowledging the hostile reception and repeated taunts from what Associated ...

Paranormal Evidence in NYC Murder Mansion Basement (PART 2) | Haunted, Abandoned and Hella Creepy
“Need help.” Those two words uttered on the Spirit Talker app – and a flickering lightbulb that quickly died – painted a ghostly scene in the basement of Kreischer Mansion. The spooky Staten Island estate’s cellar is where the body of Rob McKelvey was incinerated after being stabbed, drowned and dismembered piece by piece in a 2005 mob hit.
Nearly two decades later, a series of unusual events at the mansion lead paranormal investigator Colin Browen to suspect the 19th century home is now a portal to the other world. He’s joined by Page Six reporter Evan Real, who admitted he’s “literally shaking” and “I’m crappy myself” during their investigation using tools popular among ghost hunters. This is “Haunted, Abandoned and Hella Creepy” from the New York Post.

Disgraced FBI official who probed Trump-Russia ties set to plead guilty in corruption case
Disgraced FBI agent Charles McGonigal — who investigated the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Moscow in 2016 — is slated to take a guilty plea in the case accusing him of illegally working for a Russian oligarch.
“The court has been informed that defendant Charles McGonigal may wish to enter a change of plea,” Manhattan federal Judge Jennifer Rearden wrote in a brief order filed Monday, scheduling a hearing for Aug. 15.
McGonigal, 54, — a former top FBI counterintelligence agent based in New York — was indicted in January on charges including money laundering and violating US sanctions by working for Russian billionaire and business magnate Oleg Deripaska, including trying to get him taken off of the US sanctions list.

Dangerous Selfie! Woman Gets Too Close To Bison At Yellowstone #shorts
A tourist was spotted taking a selfie dangerously close to a bison at Biscuit Basin in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, on May 20.
The person who recorded this video told Storyful they were in the parking lot when they spotted the woman approaching the bison. The source said they were in a "bit of disbelief."
“We felt horrible for the bison. We knew if it just inadvertently stood up, she would be gored and it would most likely have to be euthanized through no fault of its own,” the source said.
The National Park Service (NPS) warns that bison are unpredictable, and have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal. They advise to stay at least 25 yards from the large mammal, and to never pursue or approach them as the behavior threatens them.
According to the NPS, “anima...

The officer reiterated that Talty — a 37-year-old entrepreneur who owns a protein bar company named after himself — was not at the couple’s $1 million home in Somers at the time of the shootings on Saturday.
Nevel suggested that speculation over the husband’s supposed involvement came after police received a call from an unidentified person about the shooting.

McConnell, seemingly unbothered, continued with his speech without acknowledging the hostile reception and repeated taunts from what Associated Press reported were Democrats in the crowd.
“My friends, I’ll be honest, it’s not hard for Republicans to look good these days,” McConnell could barely be heard saying amid the roaring crowd.
In video footage of his speech, McConnell is barely heard as the raucous crowd shouts “Retire!” before an overwhelming wave of booing takes over.

Raised on grunge rock and ghost stories, host Colin Browen has investigated hundreds of the world's most notorious locations, from Hoia Baciu Forest in Romania to the Sallie House in Kansas. As a kid, he says his family unknowingly moved into a haunted house where he learned to coexist with the spirits. By 19, he was hosting "Teen Spirit" on the Verizon GO90 Network. He went on to create the popular YouTube series "The Paranormal Files" and co-hosts a true-crime podcast, "Murder in America," with his wife, Courtney.

McGonigal was legally required to report to the FBI his contact with foreign officials, but instead allegedly hid the ties, pursing business and overseas travel that conflicted with his job.
McGonigal pleaded not guilty to the four counts: Conspiring to violate and evade US sanctions, money laundering, conspiring to commit money laundering and conspiring to violate federal law against doing business with sanctioned individuals.

"The Basement Office" is the first video series to respond to the new demand for UFOs to be taken seriously. Stripped of melodrama, over-the-top recreations, and wacky theories, "The Basement Office" focuses only on hard facts and evidence. Because, as it turns out, the facts are scary enough.

According to the NPS, “animals that attack people may need to be killed,” adding that if “visitors violate rules, rangers may close roadside pullouts to protect animals and people.”

A torture closet used to punish children. A séance room with a mirror portal to the Other Side. And a basement full of horrors. They all await you in this terrifying tour of Staten Island’s Kreischer Mansion. The circa 1885 property has a bloody history, including the grisly 2005 murder of mafia associate Rob McKelvey by the groundskeeper Joe Young.
Paranormal investigator Colin Browen brings his bag of ghost-hunting tools – along with a noticeably on-edge Page Six reporter, Evan Real, whose usual beat is interviewing the “Housewives” – to experience the spooky site first-hand. This is Part 1 of 2 of the premiere episode of “Haunted, Abandoned and Hella Creepy” from the New York Post.
