Krieg (band)

Krieg (German for 'War') is a black metal band originally from Somers Point, New Jersey in the United States of America.

Biography

The band formed in 1995, initially as Imperial, changing name to Krieg in 1997 to avoid confusion with other bands named Imperial. Krieg released their début album Rise of the Imperial Hordes in 1998 and also recorded a second studio album called Sono Lo Scherno, which was not released at the time. Some of the tracks were used on the split with Kult ov Azazel and the compilation The Black Plague.

In 2001, Krieg played with Godless North and Inquisition on the North American Black Metal Invasion tour through Germany, where they were supported by the German band Secrets of the Moon. At Krieg's show at Die Festung in Bitterfeld on 8 December 2001, Imperial dedicated his set to Kanwulf of Nargaroth, who was beaten up by NSBM band Absurd's vocalist Ronald Wolf Möbus for threatening to kill the latter's son (who was about one year old at the time). The show was recorded and released on the live EP Kill Yourself or Someone You Love.

Krieg (song)

"Krieg" (War) is a song by Farin Urlaub Racing Team. It's the third single and the fifth track from the album Die Wahrheit übers Lügen. The song's themes are commercialism, character of big city people, supply and demand and dominating disposition to anger.

The song is sung in the perspective of a man from a big city, who decides to go shopping during a discount, however the demand is higher than supply, which leads to a fight for the products. In the second verse, the man is driving in his new car and a man behind him drives anxiously, flashes lights and honks the horn, probably trying to get past, to which the protagonist replies that he might not have many emotions (maybe three), but anger and wrath are two of them, so again a fight ensues.

Music video

The video is set in New York City and features FURT playing only on a TV set on a window display of an electronics shop. The plot revolves around two living statues, of whose the second shown sets up a place right next to the first one and they start competing in a comical manner, which eventually leads to a weird mime-fight between them, until the "intruder" squirts the protagonist with a water pistol. The protagonist seemingly quits and leaves to get a hot dog, but soon returns and squirts the other with ketchup and mustard, which makes the intruder chase the protagonist.

Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. It is the second game in the Borderlands series and the sequel to 2009's Borderlands. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and OS X on September 18, 2012. It was ported to the PlayStation Vita on May 13, 2014, and released for Linux on September 30, 2014.

As with the first game, Borderlands 2 allows players to complete a campaign consisting of central quests and optional side-missions as one of four treasure seekers, "Vault Hunters", on the planet Pandora. Key gameplay features from the original game, such as online collaborative campaign gameplay; randomly generated loot, such as weapons and shields; and character-building elements commonly found in role-playing video games are in Borderlands 2.

The game was well received by critics and was a financial success. Downloadable content for the game was released, including new characters and storylines. The Game of the Year Edition of the game was released in October 8, 2013 in the U.S. and October 11 internationally, including all the previous downloadable and upgrade packs except for the new campaign. A PlayStation Vita version was released in May 2014, and was developed by Iron Galaxy Studios in collaboration with Gearbox.PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of Borderlands 2 and its DLC were released as part of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on March 24, 2015.Borderlands 2 had sold over 13 million copies, making it 2K's highest-selling title.

Sick (EP)

Sick EP is the debut extended play by American metalcore band Beartooth and is produced by Caleb Shomo formerly of the band Attack Attack! who sang and recorded all the instruments used on the album. It was released on July 26, 2013 through Red Bull Records for free download.

Background

Caleb Shomo began writing Beartooth songs while he was still in Attack Attack! as "a different musical outlet" as a way to make fun, punk-rock, hardcore, wild music, play crazy shows and have a good time without pressure from anything. The first release from this album was the song 'I Have a Problem', released on February 6, 2013 along with a live music video. The band was officially announced to be part of the roster for 'Red Bull Records' later that year in June. Later that month, the band released their EP via email subscription, and later toured with City Lights across the US throughout August to promote the EP.

Promotion

The band released a total of four music videos in promotion of the EP. Before the albums announcement, they released a live music video for 'I Have a Problem. They later released the other three videos for 'I Have a Problem' (not to be confused with their earlier live version), 'Pick Your Poison' and 'Go Be the Voice'. The song 'Go Be the Voice' was featured on Altpress article '11 New Songs You Need To Hear Right Now: November 2013 Edition' in promotion of the song, EP and then recent video.

Sick (Sow album)

Sick is the second studio album by Sow released in 1998. This album spawned no singles. At this time Sow comprises Anna Wildsmith with "Boys", where the Boys are Raymond Watts, Euphonic, Sascha Konietzko, Hoppy Kamiyama & Optical 8, Martin King, and Günter Schulz.
