It's been a tumultuous year for Jeremy Corbyn. He surprised the political establishment by sweeping to a huge victory in the Labour leadership contest and hugely expanded the party's membership. He has been met by an undeniably hostile media, facing the full gamut from the misleading to the outright lies but he has also been accused of running a shambolic media campaign, which focuses too much on his own social media bubble. And to cap it all, he's faced a coup by rebellious MPs and now is being forced to run again for the leadership. Despite all that, he tells me he's very optimistic about his, the Labour party's and the country's future and believes he could win a general election if the Theresa May were to call one. Alastair Campbell was the mastermind behind the New Labour machine, the spin doctor who did his best to ensure Tony Blair and Gordon Brown's project was given the best coverage possible. Subscribe ► http://bit.ly/subsowenjones I met with him to talk about the final years of New Labour, discussing his reputation as an aggressive, Machiavellian schemer, his suspicions that Gordon Brown may have been involved in an attempted coup against Tony Blair and the fallout from the disastrous Iraq war. We also discussed whether the years of stress working at the top of the political pile had contributed to Campbell's long-term suffering with mental health problems, including depression. He reveals his often violent dreams, including one involving Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and an axe. In terms of t...

In September 2015, veteran left-winger Jeremy Corbyn was elected as leader of the British Labour Party. After 33 years as a back bench member of parliament, the 66-year-old became one of the most important politicians in Britain. Jeremy was propelled to leadership by a generation of voters who had been turned off by traditional politics. He attracted 200,000 new members to the party who wanted someone who presented an alternative to the slick, executive politicians who cared more about corporate elites than the people on the street. But many Labour members of parliament don't share the new membership's enthusiasm for Jeremy's socialist agenda. As well as facing challenges from his own colleagues, since becoming leader Jeremy has been the subject of a hostile media that he believes seeks ...

"A Study in Scarlet" (1933) is a drama film directed by Edwin L. Marin and starring Reginald Owen as Sherlock Holmes and Anna May Wong as Mrs. Pyke. The title comes from Arthur Conan Doyle's novel of the same name, the first in the Holmes series, but the screenplay by Robert Florey was original. Despite her billing, Anna May Wong only appears on screen for less than ten minutes. Reginald Owen had played Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes the previous year; Owen was one of only four actors to play both Holmes and Watson (Jeremy Brett played Watson on stage in the United States prior to adopting the mantle of Holmes on British television, Carleton Hobbs played both roles in British radio adaptations while Patrick Macnee played both roles in US television movies). --- Directed by Edwin L. Marin...
During my recent journey around Spain, supporting Podemos in their quest to change the face of Spanish politics, I met up with the party's leader Pablo Iglesias. The interview was filmed on his campaign bus on the final day of campaigning before Spain's historic general elections. We discussed Pablo Iglesias's political beliefs, how Podemos has grown to be such a force in Spanish politics in such a short time and the future of Jeremy Corbyn's Labour, Alexis Tsipras and Syriza and the left in Europe.

If you ever change your mind
About leaving, leaving me behind
Oh baby ain't no sweet love ain't no harm to me
Yeah yeah yeah
You know I laughed when you left but now I know I only hurt myself
Oh baby ain't no sweet love ain't no harm to me
Yeah yeah yeah Oh!
You know I'll always be your slave
Till I'm dead and buried in my grave
Oh baby ain't no sweet love ain't no harm to me
Yeah yeah yeah
I'll give you jewelry, money too
And that's not all all I do for you
Oh baby ain't no sweet love ain't no harm to me
Yeah yeah yeah
If you ever change your mind
About leaving, leaving me behind
Oh baby ain't no sweet love ain't no harm to me
If you ever change your mind
Change your mind, about leaving, leaving me behind
Yeah about leaving, ain't no sweet love
Ain't no harm to me Yeah yeah yeah
Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Oh yeah!
