It is located between Jasola Apollo and Mohan Estate stations on the Violet Line. The station was opened with the first section of the Line on October 3, 2010 in time for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on the same day. Four types of rolling stock are used: Mitsubishi-ROTEM Broad gauge, Bombardier MOVIA, Mitsubishi-ROTEM Standard gauge, and CAF Beasain Standard gauge.Besides construction and operation of Delhi metro,DMRC is also involved in the planning and implementation of metro rail, monorail and high speed rail projects in India and providing consultancy services to other metro projects in the country as well as abroad. The current routes are Red Line, Yellow Line, Blue Line, Green Line, Violet Line and Airport Express with other projects underway. Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory (NCT) that includes the Indian capital New Delhi, stands on the Yamuna River in northern India. It is the second most populous metropolis in India after Mumbai. With a population of 16.3 million in 2011, the city is also the eighth most populous metropolis in the world. The NCT and its urban region have been given the special status of National Capital Region (NCR) under the Constitution of India's 69th amendment act of 1991. The NCR includes the neighbouring districts of Baghpat, Gurgaon, Sonepat, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Jhajjar, Panipat, Rewari, Alwar, Meerut and other nearby districts as defined by the government, and has nearly 22.2 million residents. NCR has a total area of 33,578 square kilometers.
