Learn how to embed a magazine into your website with our screencast. In this video we will explain all the different embed methods and configuration options you can choose from.
Welcome to the Screencast: This is how the Embed
Wizard works!
We will start our tour in our demo WebKiosk.
Below our magazines you will find 3 links. The first link contains the already visible information about the current magazine. The link "
Share" contains the various sharing options available for our magazine.
And the last link "Embed" contains the embedding options. This is where we want to go! Clicking the link will open the Embed Wizard.
The wizard contains various options to embed the magazine on our homepage, on
Facebook, or into a blog.
Clicking through the gallery, we can also learn more about the different options. Yumpu gives a brief description below the gallery.
Using the “
Follow” button you enable your readers to follow your magazines on Yumpu and to always have access to the latest magazines.
The text link leads directly to your magazine and can easily be integrated anywhere.
The button makes the text link even more visible so it can be found easier.
Using the option "
Magazine Cover" will embed your magazine cover directly where you want to show it and give your readers yet another preview on what to expect from your magazine.
"
Custom" allows you to embed a live, page-turning version of your magazine directly on your homepage.
Magazines can also be embedded using "Advanced". However, this option also contains many other options for tech-savvy users or webmasters.
We will select the option "Magazine Cover" first.
At the top of the page we will find the embed code; we copy it and embed it without changing it on our website.
But Yumpu offers more than just that.
Under "
General", we can choose a certain page from our document for viewing.
Under "Size" we can adjust the width. To make it simpler, the 3 most popular sizes have already been provided as quick picks. Of course you can adjust the size freely at any time.
Under "
Style" we can customize the background color. Of course: You can choose your own look
for your magazine.
Next, we adjust the content and appearance of the articles around our magazine.
That's it on the subject "Magazine Cover". Now, we will focus on the most popular option "Custom".
After clicking the back button, we will be directed back to the selection of our embed code. We select "Custom" and click "
Create" to get to the settings menu of our embedded magazine.

Here, we find the already known options for "Magazine Cover" and a few little extras.
The first thing we do is to adjust the size. Either we select a size from the quick pick options or customize it
. In the preview window on the right we can also live-track all changes
.
If the embedded magazine is too large for the preview window, we can either scroll down to get a full view or click the "
Preview" button directly above the magazine to adjust our magazine size to the size of the preview window. This way you will always get the full view.
Under "Style" we adjust the background to our liking. The color can be chosen freely as well. Or we can select exact values to match the colors to the corporate design of the magazine.
Under the option "
Button Click-To-Read" you can find the settings menu of the zoom
function for the magazines on Yumpu.com.
Select whether you want the button to be visible or not. Or select how you want the button to look like. In the preview window you can live-track all changes at anytime allowing you to make easy selections and adjustments.
And that was it – now you can copy the code and embed it onto your own website at any time.
It's that simple.
Typical Yumpu.
