Mekkah atau Makkah al-Mukarramah (bahasa Arab: مكة المكرمة) atau disingkat dengan Makkah merupakan sebuah kota utama di Arab Saudi.
Kota ini menjadi tujuan utama kaum muslimin dalam menunaikan ibadah haji,[1] Di kota ini terdapat sebuah bangunan utama yang bernama Masjidil Haram dengan Ka'bah di dalamnya. Bangunan Ka'bah ini dijadikan patokan arah kiblat untuk ibadah salat umat Islam di seluruh dunia. Kota ini merupakan kota suci umat Islam dan tempat lahirnya Nabi Muhammad Salallahu A'laihi Wasalam.
Dalam Al-Qur'an, kota ini disebut juga dengan 11 nama yang berbeda.
Madinah atau Madinah Al Munawwarah: مدينة رسول الله atau المدينه, (juga Madinat Rasul Allah, Madīnah an-Nabī) adalah kota utama di Arab Saudi. Merupakan kota yang ramai diziarahi atau dikunjungi oleh kaum Muslimin. Di sana terdapat Masjid Nabawi yang memiliki pahala dan keutamaan bagi kaum Muslimin. Dewasa ini, penduduknya sekitar 600.000 jiwa. Bagi umat Muslim kota ini dianggap sebagai kota suci kedua. Pada zaman Nabi Muhammad Salalahu A'laihi Wasalam, kota ini menjadi pusat dakwah, pengajaran dan pemerintahan Islam. Dari kota ini Islam menyebar ke seluruh jazirah Arabia lalu ke seluruh dunia.

Medina (/mɛˈdiːnə/; Arabic: اَلْمَدِينَة اَلْمَنَوَّرَة, al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah, “the radiant city” (officially), or اَلْمَدِينَة al-Madīnah; also transliterated as Madinah, or madinat al-nabi "the city of the prophet") is a city in the Hejaz region of western Saudi Arabia, and serves as the capital of the Al Madinah Province. It is the second holiest city in Islam, and the burial place of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Medina is historically significant for being Muhammad's home after the Hijrah. Before the advent of Islam, the city was known as Yathrib, but was personally renamed by Muhammad.
Medina is home to the three oldest mosques in Islam, namely Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet's Mosque), Quba Mosque (the first mosque in Islam's history), and Masjid al-Qiblatain (the mosque where the qibla was switched to Mecca).
Because of the Saudi government's religious policy and concern that historic sites could become the focus for idolatry, much of Medina's Islamic physical heritage has been destroyed since the beginning of Saudi rule.[citation needed]

The superhuman-like power of rishis and bujuhurgs was attained through a long strenuous process of spiritual pursuit. By surrendering to this process, they transformed every prayer into a union with God, and felt God deep within their own existence.
You too can progress on this path. Like them, you can attain the power to heal, have insights and extrasensory powers. Your prayer can become a union with God, and you can feel the presence of God within your existence. And you do not need to leave your family and job or live in seclusion to do this. Some regular practices or amal will help you progress along this path even while you continue to function fully in the material world.

Around seventy kilometres west of Tripoli and also located on the Mediterranean coast are the remains of the ancient trading town of Sabratha. Its Theatre has been rebuilt and is still an impressive structure that dates back to the second century A.D. Tripoli, along with the historic towns of the former Tripolitania, is one of the most spectacular places of ancient culture in North Africa and the heritage of an advanced civilisation located on the edge of the Sahara.

The 18th century mausoleum of Tourbet El Bey contains the tombs of the Husseiniden Dynasty, its stucco walls and marble pillars highlight the influence of Italian Renaissance.
