Eugenio "Boy" Romerica Abunda, Jr. (born 29 October 1955) is a Filipino television host, publicist, talent manager and celebrity endorser. He is dubbed as the "King of Talk" in local show business.
Boy Abunda was born in Borongan City, Eastern Samar. He left college after his father's death and worked in odd jobs to support himself.
He later worked as an assistant stage manager in the Metropolitan Theater. Eventually, he became the assistant of Conchita "Tita Conching" Sunico, who was the administrator of the theater at that time. She taught him about public relations and within a couple of years, he started Backroom, Inc., a public relations firm. He was working as a public relations consultant for the GMA Network when Bobby Barreiro, a network executive, suggested to him to try hosting a television show.
Abunda became a host of Show and Tell, a late night variety talk show with Gretchen Barretto, and Startalk, an entertainment talk show. In 1999, he moved to GMA Network's competitor ABS-CBN where he hosted The Buzz, Private Conversations, Home Boy and Kontrobersyal. Currently, he hosts The Bottomline with Boy Abunda, a talk show interview and SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.
Oh baby why not
Just take one more chance
And risk all we got
On this luckless romance
If someone asks why
We'll say we forgot
And went kinda crazy
Oh baby why not
If love needs a fool
For it to survive
It sure looks to me
Like we both qualify
And a pair of fools
Will always beat one
So let's play the cards
And get this deal done
Oh baby why not
Bet big on the bliss
And laugh in the face
Of what all odds insist
If someone asks why
We'll say we forgot
And both lost our minds
Oh baby why not
Oh baby please
You and I
Are exactly what we need
So let's throw away all care
Move out on the edge somewhere
Find a place and just swing there in the breeze
Oh baby why not
Just take one more chance
And risk all we got
On this luckless romance
If someone asks why
We'll say we forgot
And threw our lives away
Oh baby why not
And went kinda crazy
Oh baby why not
And both lost our minds
Oh baby why not
Oh baby, oh baby
Oh baby, oh baby why not
Why not, why not
Why not, why not
Why not, why not
Why not, why not
Why not
Give me three good reasons, and I'll let you up
No, wait a minute, give me five good reasons and I'll let you up
Uh huh, uh huh
No, four don't count, 'cause that's your mother's reason
Hey, don't bite me
