Double Dutch may refer to:
"Double Dutch Bus" is a hit 1981 funk song by Frankie Smith, made famous for its extensive use of the "izz" infix form of slang.
The song title represents a combination of two institutions in Smith's Philadelphia, Pennsylvania neighborhood: the double Dutch jump rope game played by neighborhood kids; and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) bus system that was a backbone of the local transportation network (and for which Smith had unsuccessfully applied for a bus driving position; the Transpass referred to in the song is an actual SEPTA monthly fare pass).
Smith and co-writer Bill Bloom persuaded contacts at WMOT Records to finance the song, and it was recorded in early 1981, engineered by Gene Leone. The song rocketed to popularity in a matter of weeks and debuted on the US Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart in February, rising to the top spot by July, where it held at number one for four weeks. It also crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 30 in the summer of 1981.

Franklyn Leon "Frankie" Smith (born 1953, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American funk musician and R&B/soul songwriter. He is best known for his 1981 single "Double Dutch Bus".
He went to college in Tennessee for elementary education with a minor in music. He became a writer for funk and soul artists such as the O'Jays and The Spinners. He has also been influential in the careers of the rappers Tone Lōc, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg.
With his 1981 single "Double Dutch Bus", released by WMOT Records, Smith popularized a nonsensical form of slang, (From his song "Slang thang", 1981 WMOT records.) in which "iz" is placed in the middle of a word (for example, the word "place" becomes "plizace") or the last letters of a word are replaced with "-izzle" (ex. sure becomes shizzle). The style became part of hip-hop slang, and was popularized by rappers Snoop Dogg and E-40. The style today holds a place in popular slang.
"Double Dutch Bus" itself has been sampled frequently in hip-hop, including Snoop Dogg's "Snoop Dogg (What's My Name, Pt. 2)" and Missy Elliott's "Gossip Folks". Both records were produced by Timbaland. His single "Double Dutch Bus" is also featured in the 2008 Disney movie College Road Trip starring Martin Lawrence and Raven-Symoné.

Every winter, skaters migrate to warmer climates to get more skating in during the year. The skate crews based in Cascadia have organized a large excursion deep into SoCal for the past three years. This year, a crew of 40+ skaters packed the Sunset Slider bus and the PDX bus chased the warm weather South, dubbing the trip "The Double Dutch Bus Tour." Paris - Amsterdam June, 23rd – July 2nd 2011 DAY 1 June 24: Paris-St Quentin. 1100 meter height, 170 theoretical, practical 185-214 km It was a shock to the system to start with the longest stage on the first day of the tour. In theory it should have been a 170km stage rolling through the crowded streets of Paris, then along the tree- lined canals of north of the city and then onto the rolling grain field of northern France. That was the theory. In practice riders went missing or split into groups and some covered up to 214km on the stage. An amazing effort. The day was picture-perfect in terms of weather and conditions. Former professional rider Andrea Ferragato lead the Allianz and Mondial riders, representing six different countries, five Mondial BUs and five Allianz OEs, along one of...
A little bit of the Sunday Skating in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on August 10th, 2008. You can always check out the skating on Sundays around 6th avenue and John F. Kennedy Drive. Shot on a Canon HV30. Edited and compressed in iMovie. The music is Double Dutch Bus by Frankie Smith, a staple of the Sunday Skate.
I heard all this drumming and outside of Burger King in Bedford Stuyvesant was the Brooklyn United Marching Band. At first I saw the BU on their T shirts and thought Burger King had a band, but then I see this is a community-base organization. They offer so much which also include Academics, Instrumental and dance, Double Dutch, Mentoring, and more. For more info 347-264-4069 bkunitedmb@gmail.com

On 16th May 2012 Dutch couple Aniek Kuijpers & Tim Zoete treated their family and friends to a traditional English wedding at Langshott Manor, Horley. The sun shone all day as the couple took advantage of the pretty English setting and exploring the countryside in a vintage bus and procession of white London Taxi's. The civil ceremony was followed by traditional church blessing, for some this may sound 'double dutch', for us just a perfect day to capture on film.
