Nejat İşler (born 28 February 1972 in İstanbul) is a Turkish actor.
Nejat İşler was born in Eyüp, İstanbul. He studied at Cağaloğlu Anadolu High School where he joined the theatre group. He did the photography course for two years at Yıldız Technical University before serving his military service. After finishing it, he worked for some time as a salesman. When witnessing the play Death of Danton, he became inspired to become an actor and joined the Mimar Sinan University Conservatory from where he graduated in theatre.
With two friends, he formed the Kahramanlar ve Soytarılar Theatre. After making his onscreen debut in the Gurur in 1994, he established himself in series such as Deli Yürek, Şehnaz Tango, Nasıl Evde Kaldım, Dedem, Gofret ve Ben, Aşk ve Gurur, Şeytan Ayrıntıda Gizlidir and films such as Eylül Fırtınası. He has also written three books titled "Tuhaf Şehir Hikayeleri", "Biz Zavallı Erkekler" ve "Yalnızlık Benim Gizli Sevgilim"
Tuncel Kurtiz (born 1 February 1936) is a Turkish theatre, movie and TV series actor, playwright and film director. Since 1964, he has acted in more than 70 movies, including many international productions.
He was born in Bilecik, a town in Turkey. His father was a district governor (kaymakam) and his mother a teacher. His parents' occupation was the reason the family toured many places across the country. After graduating from the Haydarpaşa High School in Istanbul, Kurtiz studied English philology at Istanbul University.
He soon started a career as an actor playing theatres. Since 1958, Kurtiz performed on many stages in Istanbul, in state and private theatres. He was also on the stage at Gothenburg City Theatre, Stockholm Royal Thaetre and Swedish Theatre in Sweden, Schaubühne Berlin, Frankfurt City Theatre and Hamburg City Theatre in Germany and at Peter Brook Shakespeare Royal Theatre in England. Kurtiz directed plays for the German-Turkish theatre project "Türkisches Ensemble" in the late 1970s.
Serenay Sarıkaya (born 1 July 1991 in Ankara, Turkey) is the Miss Turkey Universe 2010 titleholder, professional model and actress from Antalya.
She competed in the national beauty contest of Miss Turkey on 1 April 2010, representing the National Capital, Ankara. She placed as the 1st Runner-up to the eventual winner, Gizem Memiç, representing Gaziantep. Serenay accepted the crown and title of Miss Turkey Universe 2010 from last year's Miss Turkey Universe/1st Runner-up, Senem Kuyucuoğlu. Instead of Sarıkaya, Turkey sent Miss Turkey World 2010 Gizem Memiç to Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant, because its Miss Universe 2010, Serenay Sarıkaya, was below 18 and did not meet the age requirement. She also competed in a beauty competition for teenagers in Prague, Czech Republic, representing Turkey, and held the third runner-up title and "Special Award" by the jury.
Erkan Can (born November 1, 1958 in Bursa, Turkey) is a Turkish film and theatre actor, who has won the Golden Orange for Best Actor twice for his roles in On Board and Takva: A Man's Fear of God, and the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actor for Takva: A Man's Fear of God.
Erkan Can began acting in 1974 at the age of 16 with the local Bursa State Theater and took acting classes at the Industrial Vocational High School. From 1982-1984 he undertook his compulsory military service. In 1985 he entered the theatre department of the Istanbul State Conservatory and made his first screen appearance, alongside Kemal Sunal, in Davacı (1986) directed by Zeki Ökten before graduating in 1990.
From 1991-92 he performed with the Bakirkoy Municipal Theatre. He had his first major roles in the television series Mahallenin Muhtarlari (1992) and Yalancı (1993) for TRT. He had a minor appearance in Sokaktaki Adam (1995), directed by Biket İlhan, and a featured role in the short Bana Old and Wise'ı Çal (1998), directed by Çağan Irmak before achieving success with On Board (1998), directed by Serdar Akar, for which he won best actor awards at film festivals in Antalya and Ankara as well as the Orhan Anzac Award.
Ahu Türkpençe (born 2 January 1977) is a Turkish actress.
Ahu Türkpençe was born in Samsun on the Black Sea coast. She was interested in theatre and with the help of a close friend, she joined the cast of the Müjdat Gezen Arts Center. Doing do, she put her studies in Physics at Yıldız Technical University on hold. She had parts in the series Yedi Numara and Azad and gained fame for starring in Bir İstanbul Masalı. Türkpençe has also appeared in films such as Neredesin Firuze, Keloğlan Kara Prens'e Karşı, Dinle Neyden, Denizden Gelen and Kaybedenler Kulübü.
