Lee Patrick George Elam (born 24 September 1976) is an English footballer who plays for Harrogate Town as a midfielder.

Elam was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire and began his footballing career in 1998 with Conference National side Southport. During his four years with the team, he played in 104 first team games in which he scored 15 goals.

After leaving Southport at the end of the 2001–02 season, Elam joined fellow Conference side Morecambe. During the 2002–03 season Elam made 40 appearances for the Shrimps, scoring 13 goals.

After only one season at Morecambe, Elam joined conference side Halifax Town for the beginning of the 2003–04 season. On 31 October 2003 after only 15 appearances for the Shaymen, Elam moved to League Two side Yeovil Town. Elam made only 12 appearances for the Glovers before moving on loan to then Conference side Chester City for the remainder of the 2003–04 season, acting as a bit-part player as the side sealed the Nationwide Conference title.

At the beginning of the 2004–05 season, Elam signed with now defunct Conference South side Hornchurch. After only six months Elam signed with conference side Burton Albion on 5 November 2004. Elam made only one appearance during the month of November for the Brewers before moving back to Morecambe for the remainder of the season.

Elam was an ancient civilization centered in the far west and southwest of modern-day Iran, stretching from the lowlands of what is now Khuzestan and Ilam Province, as well as a small part of southern Iraq. The modern name Elam is a transcription from Biblical Hebrew, corresponding to the Sumerian elam(a), the Akkadian elamtu, and the Elamite haltamti. Elamite states were among the leading political forces of the ancient near east. In classical literature, Elam was more often referred to as Susiana, a name derived from its capital, Susa.

Situated just to the east of Mesopotamia, Elam was part of the early urbanization during the Chalcolithic period (Copper Age). The emergence of written records from around 3000 BC also parallels Mesopotamian history where writing was used slightly earlier. In the Old Elamite period (Middle Bronze Age), Elam consisted of kingdoms on the Iranian plateau, centered in Anshan, and from the mid-2nd millennium BC, it was centered in Susa in the Khuzestan lowlands. Its culture played a crucial role in the Gutian Empire, especially during the Achaemenid dynasty that succeeded it, when the Elamite language remained among those in official use. Elamite is generally treated as an isolate language.

Katrina Ruth Elam (born December 12, 1983 in Bray, Oklahoma) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to Universal South Records in 2004, she released her self-titled debut album that year, charting in the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) with the #29 "No End in Sight" and the #59 "I Want a Cowboy". A third single, "Love Is", peaked at #47 from an unreleased second album Turn Me Up. Elam left the label in 2008.

Elam was born in Bray, Oklahoma, population 1,035. She performed in a 4-H talent show at the age of 9. In 1998 she was named female vocalist of the year by the Oklahoma Country Music Association and the Oklahoma Opry. Elam received a publishing contract at the age of 16. In her senior year of high school, her mother home schooled her because of her busy writing and recording schedule.

Elam is now married and has a son.

After completing high school, Katrina Elam moved to Nashville, TN, where she secured a contract with Universal South Records.Jimmie Lee Sloas produced her first self-titled album, released on October 5, 2004. The album reached #42 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and #33 on Top Heatseekers chart. The first single, “No End In Sight”, reached #29 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The follow-up single "I Want a Cowboy" reached #59 on the same chart. Elam also toured in 2004 with Keith Urban.

William Scott "Jack" Elam (November 13, 1920 – October 20, 2003) was an American film actor best known for his numerous roles as villains in Western films and, later in his career, comedies (sometimes spoofing his villainous image).

Elam was born in Miami, Arizona, to Millard Elam and Alice Amelia Kirby. Kirby died in 1924, when young Jack was not quite four years old. By 1930, he was once again living with his father, older sister Mildred, and their stepmother, Flossie (Varney).

He grew up picking cotton. He lost the sight in his left eye during a boyhood accident when he was stabbed with a pencil at a Boy Scout meeting. He was a student of both Miami High School in Gila County and Phoenix Union High School in Maricopa County and graduated from the latter in the late 1930s.

He attended Santa Monica Junior College in California and subsequently became an accountant in Hollywood; one of his clients was movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn. At one time, he was the manager of the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles.

Lee Marvin (February 19, 1924 – August 29, 1987) was an American film actor. Known for his gravelly voice, white hair and 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) stature, Marvin at first did supporting roles, mostly villains, soldiers and other hardboiled characters, but after winning an Academy Award for Best Actor for his dual roles in Cat Ballou (1965), he landed more heroic and sympathetic leading roles.

Marvin was born in New York City. He was the son of Lamont Waltman Marvin, an advertising executive and the head of the New York and New England Apple Institute, and his wife Courtenay Washington (née Davidge), a fashion writer and beauty consultant. He was named in honor of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, who was his first cousin, four times removed. His father was a direct descendant of Matthew Marvin, Sr., who emigrated from Great Bentley, Essex, England in 1635 and helped found Hartford, Connecticut.

Marvin studied violin when he was young. As a teenager, Marvin "spent weekends and spare time hunting deer, puma, wild turkey, and bobwhite in the wilds of the then-uncharted Everglades." He attended St. Leo College Preparatory School in St. Leo, Florida after being expelled from several other schools for bad behavior.
