His work and writings also played a leading role in the development of the Holiness movement and Pentecostalism.
Educated at Charterhouse School and Oxford University, Wesley was elected a fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford in 1726 and ordained a priest two years later. Returning to Oxford in 1729 after serving as curate at his father's parish, he led the Holy Club, a society formed for the purpose of study and the pursuit of a devout Christian life; it had been founded by his brother Charles, and counted George Whitefield among its members. After an unsuccessful ministry of two years at Savannah in the Georgia Colony, Wesley returned to London and joined a religious society led by Moravian Christians. On 24 May 1738 he experienced what has come to be called his evangelical conversion, when he felt his "heart strangely warmed". He subsequently departed from the Moravians, beginning his own ministry.

John Wesley was born in Los Angeles, California, on November 25, 1928. He is a pop artist.
After holding a series of odd jobs, he began painting at the age of 22. His first exhibition consisted mostly of large-format acrylic paintings of imaginary seals and stamps; he would retain the flatness and limited color range of these works, but would move into the depiction of bodies and cartoon characters, the latter of which led him to be grouped with Pop Art as the 1960s progressed.
The spareness of his technique often seems more akin to the school known as Minimalism, however, and indeed his closest personal associations were with artists such as Dan Flavin and Donald Judd, the latter of whom wrote a laudatory essay on Wesley's early work and later set aside a space for him at his complex in Marfa, Texas. Wesley himself considers his work to be aligned with Surrealism, and many of his paintings since the 1960s have taken this dimension yet further, while retaining an extremely limited range of colors and a sign-like flatness.

Today we often focus on economic and military power as the way that we can save nations. But one man did it by bringing about spiritual revival. By calling people back to true religion, he is “The Man Who Saved England.” He almost certainly changed the course of history. He transformed his nation. But first, he had to be transformed himself. And his call to personal and social holiness still challenges Christians today.

I'm a bit unavailable
You seem a bit gone
Rumours of right and wrong, assailable
Delivered from tongues of those… un-tamable
Yet loosed
Upon we
See you hurt
See you leave
Then you shiver
I watched you Shiver oh
Then you Shiver till...
I can not breathe any more
No I can not be here alone
You shiver
I watched you Shiver oh You Shiver till… I
No shield, entirely covered us
Faith, seems to crumble into dust
Leaving us just ourselves to despair of
Feeling the sting of the poison arrows
So loosed
Upon we
See you hurt
See you leave...
Then you shiver
I watched you Shiver oh
Then you Shiver till...
I can not breathe any more
No I can not be here alone
No I can not dream anymore
No I can not see anymore...
