Here is our first video from the Bahamas during our Spring Break week! We stayed at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas. This video is of Day 1 & 2 where we hit the beaches, catch some tidal waves in the CrrRrAaAzZzYyy River Rapids ride & had some fun in the pool. Each day we tried to do something a little different at the resort, stay tuned for our future vids with Dolphins, Sea Lions, Jet Skis, Sharks, Lagoon Paddle Boarding, Water Slides & More!!! Bahamas is the solo project of Toronto-based guitarist Afie Jurvanen who has shared the stage with both Wilco and Feist. Jurvanen's stripped-down and contemplative sound focuses mainly on his voice and guitar - including quiet, indie folk meditations. Bahamas latest record, Barchords, was released through Brushfire Records -- a labeled started by Jack Johnson.
In this session Afie and his group of talented singers (Carleigh Aikins and Felicity Williams) and lone maracas player (Jason Tait) demonstrate why they were named by SPIN and The New York Times one of the highlights of SXSW 2012.

The Bahamas 
i/bəˈhɑːməz/, officially the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, is a country consisting of more than 3,000 islands, cays, and islets. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba and Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti), northwest of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and southeast of the United States (nearest to the state of Florida). Its land area is 13,939 km2 (5,382 sq mi), with a population of 353,658. Its capital is Nassau. Geographically, the Bahamas lie in the same island chain as Cuba, Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos Islands; the designation of Bahamas refers normally to the Commonwealth and not the geographic chain.
Originally inhabited by the Lucayans, a branch of the Arawakan-speaking Taino people, the Bahamas were the site of Columbus' first landfall in the New World in 1492. Although the Spanish never colonized the Bahamas, they shipped the native Lucayans to slavery in Hispaniola. The islands were mostly deserted from 1513 to 1648, when English colonists from Bermuda settled on the island of Eleuthera.

We KISS DOLPHINS, RIDE a JET SKI & WATER BIKE @ Atlantis Resort (FUNnel Vision Bahamas Trip Part 4)
This is Day 5 Part 1 where we plan a bunch of Water Activities for the kids! We ride some Jet Ski's on the Carribean Ocean outside of the Atlantis Resort Hotel on Paradise Island in Nassau Bahamas! But first we got to play with dolphins, get splashed by them, kiss them (EWWW!), later on we Water Biked around the Atlantis Lagoon outside of their casino and Lexi tries out the paddleboard for the first time. Power Tower Water Slides:
THE FALLS
Accessible from the river by means of a conveyor belt that lifts riders into the Power Tower while still seated in your inner-tube, the slide then drops riders 58 feet to ground level before propelling them through a water roller coaster of twisting tubes.
THE DROP
Commencing from inside the Power Tower, this single or double inner-tube rides begins with an ominous “drop” through darkness in an enclosed tube. Riders then encounter the open-air twists and turns of this thrilling water slide before splashing down into The Current.
THE SURGE
Starting at the top level of the 121-foot Power Tower, this inner tube ride features a camel back drop into a cavern, then quickly twists and turns downwards into white-water rapids caused by a flash flood.

This is Day 5 Part 1 where we plan a bunch of Water Activities for the kids! We ride some Jet Ski's on the Carribean Ocean outside of the Atlantis Resort Hotel on Paradise Island in Nassau Bahamas! But first we got to play with dolphins, get splashed by them, kiss them (EWWW!), later on we Water Biked around the Atlantis Lagoon outside of their casino and Lexi tries out the paddleboard for the first time. Then we check out The Dig, it's an underground Aquarium type exhibit showcasing the "Lost Ruins of the City of Atlantis". This is Day 5 Part 1 where we plan a bunch of Water Activities for the kids! We ride some Jet Ski's on the Carribean Ocean outside of the Atlantis Resort Hotel on Paradise Island in Nassau Bahamas! But first we got to play with dolphins, get splashed by them, kiss them (EWWW!), later on we Water Biked around the Atlantis Lagoon outside of their casino and Lexi tries out the paddleboard for the first time. Then we check out The Dig, it's an underground Aquarium type exhibit showcasing the "Lost Ruins of the City of Atlantis". While you’re there, try a Japanese fusion dish or sample from the numerous other eateries lining the city. Stick around as evening falls and you’ll see hula dancers and a breathtaking sunset.
