Milind Soman is an Indian supermodel, actor, film producer and fitness promoter.Milind Soman was born in a Maharashtrian middle class family in Glasgow, Scotland. His family moved to a place near London, England where he lived until the age of seven, then his family moved back to India and settled in Dadar in Mumbai in 1972 . His father Prabhakar Soman was a nuclear scientist with the Bhabha Atomic Research Center while his mother Usha is a biochemist, who taught at Wilson College, Mumbai . Soman has two elder sisters Netra and Medha, and one younger sister, Anupama who is a year younger to him.

Milind Soman
Milind Soman (born 4 November 1965) is an Indian supermodel, actor, and film producer.
Personal life
Milind Soman was born in a Maharashtrian family in Scotland and lived in England until the age of seven, then his family moved back to India. Milind Soman’s father is Prabhakar Soman, a scientist and his mother is Usha, a biochemist, who taught at Wilson College. Milind’s three sisters are Netra, Medha and Anupama. Milind did his schooling from Antonio De Silva School in Mumbai. Later, he joined Electrical Engineering at Saboo Siddique College. He was a national-level swimmer for India and was then discovered as a model.
In July 2006, Soman married Mylene Jampanoi, his French co-star in the film Valley of Flowers at a tourist resort in Goa. They had met on the set of the film. They divorced in 2009 later.
Career
Soman featured in Alisha Chinai's music video, Made in India (1995). In the mid-1990s after some time working as a model, he took the lead role in the Indian science fiction TV Series Captain Vyom. He then focused on films starting in 2000. Soman's films include 16 December, Pachaikili Muthucharam, Paiyaa, Agni Varsha Rules : pyar ka superhit formula and Asoka. In 2007 he appeared in Bhram, Say Salaam India and Bheja Fry. In 2009 he acted in Sachin Kundalkar’s Marathi film Gandha. He has also acted in a number of English language and other foreign films, including Valley of Flowers and The Flag. In the Swedish film Arn – The Knight Templar he portrayed Saladin, the revered 12th-century Kurdish leader of the Arabs and Muslims.

In the experiential part of the Summit, Milind Soman, who was planning to run his first full marathon barefoot at Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon the following day narrated his personal story of how he transitioned to barefoot runner. Her husband Arjun (Milind Soman) is a famous surgeon who does his best to help her remember. So begins a love story in which Arjun tries to make his wife fall in love with him all over again. All going well until Lisa gets a strange feeling about what went wrong that night. She starts getting flashes of blood and money. In 1995, the Indian Government charged Bollywood superstar Milind Soman with 'obscenity' for appearing nude in a shoe advertisement. Under the rhetoric of preserving nation's morality, these charges were carried-out using old colonial laws that are still evoked to restrict desire and persecute homosexuality in India today.
Milind Soman Made Me Gay is a conceptual documentary about desire and notions of 'home' and 'belonging'. The film employs a unique mix of visual elements along with voice over narration to juxtapose memories of the filmmaker's past against stories of three gay South Asian men living in the diaspora. The Story is about a clotheswashgirl finds a hand in a creek where she was washing clothes. She and other clotheswashmen nearby gather together and summon the police. After an investigation, the police find various parts of this body, and determine it to be that of a young woman. They do not succeed in finding the head of the corpse, and a check with missing persons produces negative results. When Inspector Pyare Mohan, who was assigned to this investigation, receives a threat by an anonymous caller on the phone, he recommends that this file be closed. Then additional evidence surfaces, and the case is turned over to CBI Office Jasraj Patel, who along with his assistant, Gangaram, arrive to take over this investigation. They find out that the corpse is indeed of a young woman, Roshni Choubey. Roshni comes from a poor family of four unmarried sisters. Roshni seemed to be involved with several men, including Dr. Kamal Dogra, Mohan Multani, Captain Ajit Verma and Bishen Nanda all of who have a motive for killing her and disposing off her body. Who is the real killer - is the challenge that now faces Jasraj, apart from the telephonic threat that he too has received from the anonymous caller. Patel delves into the case even more deeply, putting his life at risk as the killer is constantly trying to bump him off. Eventually, Patel concludes that Roshni might not be killed by any of the men she was involved with.
