I had begun putting together the music for this CD (The SouLution), the year of 2004, after realizing that if I wanted to 'realize' a life-long dream of creating my own CD - on my OWN terms -- I would have to take matters into my OWN hands. I held down a very demanding full time job, as I worked diligently putting together every facet of this CD and I took my time doing so (took four years to complete). I had titled the CD 'The SouLution', due the way in which I solved the dilemma of recording and producing my first musical compilation without any lowly compromise or selling my soul. I never cared about fame, popularity nor do I have a care or desire to follow trends or make music that appeals to a younger or undiscerning audience. I made music that works for me first and foremost and this will never change -- its all about me projecting a 'genuine' and pure expression of and from myself! This CD marked the beginning and the end of an important chapter in my life; one that has shaped the man that I am today! My sound, style, lyrical content and musical direction has evolved since and this will most certainly be reflected in my next personally produced and created CD but for now, I 'freely' share with you, one of my most prideful accomplishments -- a true labor of love.
