But there's no trick in the video that I haven't done many times (except for splitting the arrow in flight – after I'd done that once I finished the video). The one with hitting the bl...

The "Lars effect" has taken hold and there is some division in the community. Interestingly, the split is more evident between archers/historians and the general viewership. This video will explain some of the reasons behind the mixed responses and why Lars has become a contentious figure. === Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nusensei

Lars Andersen is a great archer. He knows how to get the views on YouTube. 0:45 - proof that he uses modified 1 inch wide gap nocks The point of this video is to show you that Lars Andersen uses modified wide nocks shaped like a V to improve his fire rate especially for making a YouTube video. Actually he uses both normal and modified nocks, depending on how many arrows he is shooting. He is very skilled at using his modified nocks. The problem with these nocks is that they increase your chance of dry firing. Fire rate for combat is more relative to how strong you are, because you need to keep in mind that the draw weights archers were pulling for warfare are usually above 100 pounds, because enemies historically wear shields and armor. Most of the time spent is pulling that draw weight....

Lesson 3# - Speed Archery Arrow Nocks & Fletchings - Saracen Archery - How to speed nock the arrow onto the string - Lars Andersen's secret From the Bow Channel how to make speed archery nocks DISCLAIMER: I experiment, develop and attempt to find out how Lars Andersen shoots his arrows fast. I am no expert. The whole thing is very complicated. There is no single " The Lars Method", or set in stone tutorial on his technique because he shoots many ways depending on the situation, and his archery has many variations.
