1970年代中，香港電視競爭日趨激烈，各台都起用新人，製作新鮮刺激的節目。無線電視TVB設立菲林組用電影方式拍攝電視片，並給予很大的創作自由，因而吸引了不少熱愛電影的青年投身其間，競相磨練；譚家明是其中最耀目的一位。他在1975-77年間為TVB導製了20多部長半小時到一小時的電視片，從重文藝性的《七女性》到重情節性的《CID》、懸疑性的《13》；全程參與編、導、剪接、配樂，不久即能掌控自如，個性風格漸顯。
七十年代是全球政經風雲急變的時代，香港在中國文革巨浪和西方新思潮衝擊下，從社會到文化、媒體都起根本性的變化。新興的電視率先引入世界新潮流，譚家明和其他同代電視人都嘗試吸納西方現代思潮，根植於本土進行創作。譚的先鋒性在於他善用現代影音語言去表達他對當代社會的感受。他力圖擺脫傳統通俗戲劇的程式，嘗試用散文、詩乃至日記的文體，主要通過影像與音響／音樂，而非戲劇語言去抒情言志，當年往往引致誤解；或認為他險走偏鋒、曲高和寡，或說他太重風格形式而缺乏內容的感染力。今天細看，其實他很關注內容與形式的結合，力通過影像語言、音樂去作表意和溝通，是站在媒體前沿的藝術工作者。
1975-79是電視文化的豐收期，新人輩出，作品充滿新銳活力，有論者稱之為「電視新浪潮」時期。數風流人物，導演如譚家明、許鞍華、嚴浩、章國明、徐克、方育平、劉國昌、麥當雄；編劇如舒琪、陳韻文、李碧華、黃志、文雋、蕭若元；攝影師如黃仲標、鍾志文、陳樂儀等，其後都進入電影界，形成新浪潮，推動香港電影的現代化，其過程都值得仔細研究。
In the mid-1970s when competition among the television stations was heating up, new talent were recruited in droves to make exciting programmes. TVB set up a new film division to produce television films in the style of their big-screen cousins. Patrick Tam was among the crop of passionate young talent drawn to the creative freedom and was the most outstanding of the lot. He made over 20 half-hour to hour-long television films for TVB between 1975 and 1977, including the drama Seven Women, the plot-driven CID and the thriller 13, trying his hand in scriptwriting, directing, editing and scoring. He soon mastered it all and began to develop a personal style.
The 1970s were an era of political and economic turmoil worldwide. Under the influence of the Cultural Revolution and the new trend of thought from the West, Hong Kongs society, culture and media underwent fundamental change. Newly fashionable, television took the lead in bringing in the worlds latest trends. Patrick Tam and others attempted to create works by planting modern Western ideas in local soil. Tam was a pioneer in his use of modern visual and audio language to express his thoughts on contemporary society. He strove to break free from the formulae of conventional popular drama, borrowing from literary genres such as essays, poetry or even diary and opting for images and sound/music over dramatic language to convey feelings and ideas. For this, he was often misunderstood as too oblique, too highbrow for most palates, or too focused on style and form at the expense of content. Viewing his works again today, one cannot but notice his concern for the integration of content and form, and his endeavours at expressing and communicating through visual language, sound and music. He was an artist on the frontier of media.

The Sword
The Sword is an American heavy metal band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band is composed of vocalist and guitarist John D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie, and drummer Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III. Originally signed to Kemado Records, the group released its debut album Age of Winters in 2006, the material for which had been largely written by Cronise. Follow-up album Gods of the Earth was released two years later and gave the group its first entry on the US Billboard 200 chart.
In 2010 the band released Warp Riders, a concept album centered on an original science fiction narrative, which marked the first time the band had enlisted an external producer in Matt Bayles. Wingo left the group later in the year and was replaced briefly by Kevin Fender, before Vela joined in 2011. After signing with Razor & Tie in 2012 the group released its fourth album Apocryphon, which was promoted worldwide on the Apocryphon Tour. The band's fifth album, High Country, was released in 2015.

Donnie Yen
Donnie Yen (born 27 July 1963), also known as Yen Ji-dan (甄子丹), is a Hong Kong actor, martial artist, film director and producer, action choreographer, and multiple-time world wushu tournament champion.
Yen is credited by many for contributing to the popularization of the traditional martial arts style known as Wing Chun. He played Wing Chun grandmaster Yip Man in the 2008 film Ip Man, which was a box office success. This has led to an increase in the number of people taking up Wing Chun, leading to hundreds of new Wing Chun schools to be opened up in mainland China and other parts of Asia.Ip Chun, the eldest son of Ip Man, even mentioned that he is grateful to Yen for making his family art popular and allowing his father's legacy to be remembered.
Yen is considered to be one of Hong Kong's top action stars; director Peter Chan mentioned that he "is the 'it' action person right now" and "has built himself into a bona fide leading man, who happens to be an action star." Yen is widely credited for bringing mixed martial arts (MMA) into the mainstream of Chinese culture, by choreographing MMA in many of his recent films. Yen has displayed notable skills in a wide variety of martial arts, being well-versed in boxing, kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do, Hapkido, taekwondo, karate, Muay Thai, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wing Chun, and Wushu. Seen as one of the most popular film stars in Asia in recent years, Yen was one of the highest paid actors in Asia in 2009. Yen has earned 220 million HKD (28.4 million USD) from four films and six advertisements in 2013.

TVB set up a new film division to produce television films in the style of their big-screen cousins. Patrick Tam was among the crop of passionate young talent drawn to the creative freedom and was the most outstanding of the lot. He made over 20 half-hour to hour-long television films for TVB between 1975 and 1977, including the drama Seven Women, the plot-driven CID and the thriller 13, trying his hand in scriptwriting, directing, editing and scoring. He soon mastered it all and began to develop a personal style. The 1970s were an era of political and economic turmoil worldwide. Under the influence of the Cultural Revolution and the new trend of thought from the West, Hong Kongs society, culture and media underwent fundamental change. Newly fashionable, television took the lead in bringing in the worlds latest trends. Patrick Tam and others attempted to create works by planting modern Western ideas in local soil. Tam was a pioneer in his use of modern visual and audio language to express his thoughts on contemporary society. He strove to break free from the formulae of conventional popular drama, borrowing from literary genres such as essays, poetry or even diary and opting for images and sound/music over dramatic language to convey feelings and ideas. For this, he was often misunderstood as too oblique, too highbrow for most palates, or too focused on style and form at the expense of content. Viewing his works again today, one cannot but notice his concern for the integration of content and form, and his endeavours at expressing and communicating through visual language, sound and music. He was an artist on the frontier of media. -

1970年代中，香港電視競爭日趨激烈，各台都起用新人，製作新鮮刺激的節目。無線電視TVB設立菲林組用電影方式拍攝電視片，並給予很大的創作自由，因而吸引了不少熱愛電影的青年投身其間，競相磨練；譚家明是其中最耀目的一位。他在1975-77年間為TVB導製了20多部長半小時到一小時的電視片，從重文藝性的《七女性》到重情節性的《CID》、懸疑性的《13》；全程參與編、導、剪接、配樂，不久即能掌控自如，個性風格漸顯。

In the mid-1970s when competition among the television stations was heating up, new talent were recruited in droves to make exciting programmes. TVB set up a new film division to produce television films in the style of their big-screen cousins. Patrick Tam was among the crop of passionate young talent drawn to the creative freedom and was the most outstanding of the lot. He made over 20 half-hour to hour-long television films for TVB between 1975 and 1977, including the drama Seven Women, the plot-driven CID and the thriller 13, trying his hand in scriptwriting, directing, editing and scoring. He soon mastered it all and began to develop a personal style.
The 1970s were an era of political and economic turmoil worldwide. Under the influence of the Cultural Revolution and the new trend of thought from the West, Hong Kongs society, culture and media underwent fundamental change. Newly fashionable, television took the lead in bringing in the worlds latest trends. Patrick Tam and others attempted to create works by planting modern Western ideas in local soil. Tam was a pioneer in his use of modern visual and audio language to express his thoughts on contemporary society. He strove to break free from the formulae of conventional popular drama, borrowing from literary genres such as essays, poetry or even diary and opting for images and sound/music over dramatic language to convey feelings and ideas. For this, he was often misunderstood as too oblique, too highbrow for most palates, or too focused on style and form at the expense of content. Viewing his works again today, one cannot but notice his concern for the integration of content and form, and his endeavours at expressing and communicating through visual language, sound and music. He was an artist on the frontier of media.

1970年代中，香港電視競爭日趨激烈，各台都起用新人，製作新鮮刺激的節目。無線電視TVB設立菲林組用電影方式拍攝電視片，並給予很大的創作自由，因而吸引了不少熱愛電影的青年投身其間，競相磨練；譚家明是其中最耀目的一位。他在1975-77年間為TVB導製了20多部長半小時到一小時的電視片，從重文藝性的《七女性》到重情節性的《CID》、懸疑性的《13》；全程參與編、導、剪接、配樂，不久即能掌控自如，個性風格漸顯。
七十年代是全球政經風雲急變的時代，香港在中國文革巨浪和西方新思潮衝擊下，從社會到文化、媒體都起根本性的變化。新興的電視率先引入世界新潮流，譚家明和其他同代電視人都嘗試吸納西方現代思潮，根植於本土進行創作。譚的先鋒性在於他善用現代影音語言去表達他對當代社會的感受。他力圖擺脫傳統通俗戲劇的程式，嘗試用散文、詩乃至日記的文體，主要通過影像與音響／音樂，而非戲劇語言去抒情言志，當年往往引致誤解；或認為他險走偏鋒、曲高和寡，或說他太重風格形式而缺乏內容的感染力。今天細看，其實他很關注內容與形式的結合，力通過影像語言、音樂去作表意和溝通，是站在媒體前沿的藝術工作者。
1975-79是電視文化的豐收期，新人輩出，作品充滿新銳活力，有論者稱之為「電視新浪潮」時期。數風流人物，導演如譚家明、許鞍華、嚴浩、章國明、徐克、方育平、劉國昌、麥當雄；編劇如舒琪、陳韻文、李碧華、黃志、文雋、蕭若元；攝影師如黃仲標、鍾志文、陳樂儀等，其後都進入電影界，形成新浪潮，推動香港電影的現代化，其過程都值得仔細研究。
In the mid-1970s when competition among the television stations was heating up, new talent were recruited in droves to make exciting programmes. TVB set up a new film division to produce television films in the style of their big-screen cousins. Patrick Tam was among the crop of passionate young talent drawn to the creative freedom and was the most outstanding of the lot. He made over 20 half-hour to hour-long television films for TVB between 1975 and 1977, including the drama Seven Women, the plot-driven CID and the thriller 13, trying his hand in scriptwriting, directing, editing and scoring. He soon mastered it all and began to develop a personal style.
The 1970s were an era of political and economic turmoil worldwide. Under the influence of the Cultural Revolution and the new trend of thought from the West, Hong Kongs society, culture and media underwent fundamental change. Newly fashionable, television took the lead in bringing in the worlds latest trends. Patrick Tam and others attempted to create works by planting modern Western ideas in local soil. Tam was a pioneer in his use of modern visual and audio language to express his thoughts on contemporary society. He strove to break free from the formulae of conventional popular drama, borrowing from literary genres such as essays, poetry or even diary and opting for images and sound/music over dramatic language to convey feelings and ideas. For this, he was often misunderstood as too oblique, too highbrow for most palates, or too focused on style and form at the expense of content. Viewing his works again today, one cannot but notice his concern for the integration of content and form, and his endeavours at expressing and communicating through visual language, sound and music. He was an artist on the frontier of media.

Ivy fills in time with Louie, and ex-boyfriend whom she is still friends with, but the telegrams and messages dry up from Chiu and soon love fades for Ivy. Chiu Ching reappears suddenly. He has, in fact, been visiting his wife. Ivy and Chiu Ching have a tense dinner date, where this issue is discussed. Chiu Ching only wants Ivy, but Ivy is over him. Chiu Ching becomes agitated as Ivy storms off. Over the next few days, Chiu Ching approaches Ivys dorm mates for information on her whereabouts, but they shield her. Chiu Chings credentials, a nasty piece of work, have already been established, but he then starts killing off Ivys dorm mates, one by one.
