Perdita Durango, released as Dance with the Devil in the United States, is a 1997 Spanish crime-drama film directed by Álex de la Iglesia, based on Barry Gifford's novel 59° and Raining: The Story of Perdita Durango. It features a psychotic criminal couple who kidnaps a random teenage couple, and plans to rape and offer them in sacrifice. It stars Javier Bardem as Romeo Dolorosa, the main character, and Rosie Perez as Perdita Durango serves as the co-star. Inspired by Magdalena Solís and The Hernandez Brothers's sect.
Perdita (Rosie Perez) is a tough, no-nonsense lady clad in a Tura Satana-style black outfit. She meets Romeo Dolorosa (Javier Bardem), a maniacal criminal who also happens to be an even more maniacal witch doctor. Romeo robs a bank but risks getting caught in order to force the Bank Teller to strip her shirt and reveal her large breasts. Once in the street, he hides his face from the cops by grabbing and french kissing a random woman on the street. Crossing the border into Mexico together, Perdita and Romeo become lovers and partners in crime as they kidnap a random Anglo-Saxon teenage couple in order to sacrifice them. Along the way they also hijack a truckload of human fetuses and try to evade a determined Drug Enforcement Administration officer (James Gandolfini).
Dance With The Devil is a solo drum instrumental by Cozy Powell based on the song "Third Stone From The Sun" by Jimi Hendrix. It reached No. 3 in the UK charts in January 1974. It was recorded as Cozy Powell's session work for RAK was taking off, and as his band Bedlam was finishing. The bass player on the track is Suzi Quatro.
The track is currently used in the buildup music at Milton Keynes Dons FC, just before the teams come out on to the pitch, showing footage of goals from previous games, players, managers and the odd Marshall amp, whose factory is across the road from the stadium.
The track was retitled Dance With The Drums for the South Africa release, and UK pressings issued for export to Denmark and Belgium came in picture sleeves, some on blue vinyl.
The song was later covered by drummer Mark Edwards (Steeler, Third Stage Alert, Lion) and released on his all-instrumental EP Code of Honor in 1985.
The song (and the background shouts) forms the basis for the intro of the song Rasputin (song) by the group Boney M.
ND may refer to:
In historical Germanic society, nīþ (Old Norse: níð; Old English: nīþ, nīð; Old Dutch: nīth); was a term for a social stigma implying the loss of honour and the status of a villain. A person affected with the stigma is a nīðing (Old Norse: níðingr, Old English: nīðing, nīðgæst, or Old High German: nidding), one lower (cf. modern English beneath, modern Dutch beneed/beneden, modern German nieder and modern Danish nedre) than those around him. Middle English retained a cognate nithe, meaning "envy" (cf. modern Dutch nijd and modern German neid/neidvoll), "hate", or "malice."
A related term is ergi, carrying the connotation of "unmanliness".
Ergi and argr or ragr can be regarded as specifying swearwords. Ergi, argr and ragr were the severe insults made by calling someone a coward, and due to its severity old Scandinavian laws demanded retribution for this accusation if it had turned out unjustified. The Icelandic Gray Goose Laws referred to three words that were regarded as equal to argr by themselves. Those were ragr, strodinn, and sordinn, all three meaning the passive role of a man included in same-sex activities among males. Another semantic belonging to argr, ragr and ergi was, from the Gray Goose, "being a sorcerer's friend."

Rough girl Perdita (Rosie Perez) and her demonic lover Romeo Dolorosa (Javier Bardem) need humans to sacrifice following Romeo's religion before he can go on a mission ordered by mob boss Santos. They kidnap teen sweethearts Duane (Harley Cross) and Estelle (Aimee Graham) and travel with them to Las-Vegas. But they are being followed the unlucky DEA agent Dumas (James Gandolfini). The score by Brit composer Simon Boswell ranges from urgent, tribal drumming to arch Hitchcockian riffs for this film by Spanish director Álex de la Iglesia. His music creeps from the centre to the rears very pleasingly in an otherwise unremarkable 2.0 sound score on these three themes, Perdita and Romeo, Crossing the border and Life's a bitch.
