Rainfall continues to lash several parts of the state.
Mount Abu in
Sirohi district has received the maximum rainfall of 328mm, while
Abu Road received 134 mm.
Similarly,
Sanchore in
Jalore district has received 242mm of rainfall, and
Raniwara recorded 194mm. Bagoda witnessed 181mm rainfall while
Jaswantpura received 158mm.
According to the water resources department, western and southern
Rajasthan have received moderate to heavy rainfall, while the remaining parts received light rains.
Jodhpur and
Udaipur divisions have received an average rain of 44.66mm and 34.
30mm respectively, while the
Kota division received an average of 11.17mm.
Jaipur,
Ajmer,
Bharatpur and
Bikaner divisions recorded 6.49mm, 4.10mm, 3.39mm and 1.61mm rain respectively.
This time, Rajasthan has received 319.61mm rainfall, 38.08% more than the usual.
As of now, seven districts have received rainfall 60% above the normal amount. These districts are Jodhpur, Barmer,
Jaisalmer,
Jalore,
Pali,
Sikar and
Jhalawar.
Sixteen districts including Bikaner,
Churu,
Sriganganagar,
Sirohi, Ajmer,
Nagaur,
Tonk,
Kota,
Baran,
Bundi, Udaipur,
Banswara,
Chittorgarh,
Dungarpur,
Pratapgarh and
Rajsamand have received 20%-59% excess rainfall.
Six districts -
Hanumangarh,
Bhilwara, Bharatpur,
Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur and
Jhunjhunu - are still under the normal category having received 19% rainfall, over or below the normal amount.
Four districts -
Dholpur,
Karauli,
Alwar and
Dausa have received rainfall 20%-59% less the normal amount.
