The second U.S. season of The X Factor aired on Fox, starting on September 12, 2012 and ending December 20, 2012; the live shows began on October 31, 2012. 16 acts made it into the live shows, with one wildcard act returning after the first elimination round.^[1] Tate Stevens was crowned the winner of the season on the second half of the finale, with Carly Rose Sonenclar becoming the runner-up and Fifth Harmony finishing in third place.

The "Teens" category was mentored by Britney Spears. The six candidates were Diamond White, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Arin Ray, James Tanner, Reed Deming and Beatrice Miller. Spears chose the following:

Beatrice Miller[link]

Beatrice Anikka Stacey Miller^[2] (born February 7, 1999) is an American child actress from Maplewood, New Jersey. She auditioned in Providence, Rhode Island with the song "Cowboy Take Me Away." Prior to her audition, Miller has made several cinematic appearances in movies such as Toy Story 3 as Molly Davis. She resides in Maplewood, with her two moms and twin sisters, Georgia and Esther, who were adopted from Vietnam. Miller was paired with Carly Rose Sonenclar during bootcamp, where they sang Foster the People's song "Pumped Up Kicks". Both girls made it to the next round. Miller sang "Titanium" by David Guetta featuring Sia for her mentor Spears and guest judge will.i.am. Although Britney expressed doubt that Beatrice could handle the pressure, she still chose her as one of her four contestants. Miller performed "I Won't Give Up" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. During the first live results show on November 1, Spears put Miller into the Top 12.In week 2 Beatrice performance Iris by Go go dolls. In week 3, Spears chose for Beatrice Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time". The result show the following night saw Miller placed 8th in the leader board. In the 4 week Beatrice perform Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, in the thanksgiving day from your sisters Esther & Georgia. On the November 22 results show, Miller was placed in the bottom 2 along with CeCe Frey by the public vote and sang a shaky rendition of "White Flag" (due to a ruptured vocal cord) by Dido as her survival song. Beatrice was eliminated by the judges 3-1 and finished in ninth place overall in the competition.

Arin Ray[link]

Arin Ray^[3] (born September 2, 1995)^[4] is a student from Cincinnati. He was part of InTENsity in season 1 of the show in the Groups category, which was mentored by Paula Abdul. Ray returned as a finalist in the Teens category as a solo act in season 2. In this season, he auditioned in Providence, Rhode Island^[5] with Count On Me, an original song. At the bootcamp part 2, he was paired with Normani Hamilton. They sang One Direction's hit "What Makes You Beautiful". At judges' houses, he sang the acoustic version of "Starships" and his mentor Spears chose him to compete in the live shows. Ray performed "You Keep Me Hangin' On" during the first live show on October 31. On November 1, during the first live results show, Ray was put into a sing-off with Diamond White, in order for Spears to decide which contestant to put into the Top 12 and which to send home. Ray performed "I Look to You" and Spears selected him to advance to the top 12. Ray was eliminated by the public vote on November 22, 2012, and finished in 10th place.

Carly Rose Sonenclar[link]

Carly Rose Sonenclar^[6] (born April 20, 1999) is an American child actress from Westchester County, New York. She has acted in many productions both on and off-Broadway, including the show Wonderland where she originated the role of Chloe, and Les Miserables on Broadway. She has had small roles in two movies and a recurring role on the show The Electric Company. At her audition in Providence, Rhode Island,^[5] she sang "Feeling Good," originally sung by Nina Simone. At the Bootcamp Part 1, she sang the song "Runaway Baby". At the Bootcamp Part 2, Carly Rose was against Beatrice Miller, and they sang "Pumped Up Kicks". Sonenclar, along with Miller, advanced to the judges homes round. She sang "Brokenhearted", originally sung by Karmin during the judge's homes round. Her mentor, Britney Spears and guest mentor will.i.am responded positively to her performance, calling her "possessed". Spears chose Sonenclar to participate in the live shows, and she sang "Good Feeling"/"Something's Got a Hold on Me" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. During the first live results show on November 1, 2012, Spears put Sonenclar in to the Top 12. During the second live performances show on November 7, 2012, Sonenclar performed "It Will Rain", and advanced into the Top 12. On November 14, 2012, she performed "My Heart Will Go On", and advanced into the Top 10. She performed "Over the Rainbow" on the November 21, 2012 live show, where she received the most amount of public votes, therefore advancing into the Top 8. She performed "Rolling in the Deep" on November 28, 2012, again receiving the most amount of public votes, advancing into the Top 6. On December 5, 2012, she performed "As Long as You Love Me" and "If I Were a Boy", where she received the 2nd highest public vote count behind Tate Stevens, advancing her into the Top 4. On the Top 4 show, Sonenclar performed Elton John's Your Song in acknowledgement of her father's contribution to her love of music. Her second song of the night was John Lennon's Imagine, accompanying herself on piano. Public voting afterward launched her into the Top 3 along with Tate Stevens and Fifth Harmony. On the top 3 show, Sonenclar performed Nina Simone's Feeling Good, duetted "How Do I Live" with LeAnn Rimes, and then finally sang Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". On December 20, 2012, Sonenclar was announced to be the runner-up, coming second to Tate Stevens. She will reportedly be signed to Syco Music along with Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony, with the official announcement coming in early 2013.^[7]

Diamond White[link]

Diamond White^[8] , (born January 1, 1999) is a student from Los Angeles, California . At 8, she starred in a Chicago-based production of The Color Purple that also toured nationally. She is the voice of Francine "Frankie" Elma Greene in Transformers: Rescue Bots and has had cameo appearances on Phineas and Ferb. She auditioned in San Francisco, California^[9] with "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" by James Brown. At the Bootcamp Part 1, White sang "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston and at the Part 2, she was singing "Stronger" She was against Dinah-Jane Hansen, and they sang . In the judges' home round, Diamond sang Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You". Her mentor Britney Spears chose her to compete in the live shows. White performed "Hey, Soul Sister" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. On November 1, 2012, during the first live results show, White, along with Arin Ray were put into a sing-off, with 1 of the contestants remaining in the competition and the other going home. White performed "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word". Spears selected Ray to remain in the competition, sending White home. However, on the November 7, 2012 episode, White was re-instated into the competition as a wildcard, creating a Top 13. On the second live show on November 7, 2012, she performed "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston from the movie The Bodyguard, receiving positive reactions from the judges, and advancing into the Top 12. On November 14, 2012, she performed "Halo" and advanced into the Top 10. On November 21, 2012, she performed "Because You Loved Me" which earned her a spot in the Top 8. On November 28, 2012, she performed "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)", and was put into the Bottom Two along with Vino Alan, where she performed "I Was Here (song)". The judges saved White and sent home Alan, advancing White into the Top 6. White performed "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" and "Diamonds" during the December 5, 2012, and was put into the Bottom Two for the second time along with Fifth Harmony, where White performed "I Hope You Dance". The judges saved Fifth Harmony and sent home White, who finished fifth in the competition.

The "Young Adults" category was mentored by Demi Lovato. The six candidates were Jennel Garcia, Willie Jones, Nick Youngerman, Paige Thomas, Jillian Jensen and CeCe Frey. Lovato chose the following:

CeCe Frey[link]

Cecelia Marie "CeCe" Frey (born June 27, 1991) from Decatur, Illinois, worked as a mail clerk in a postal department prior to auditioning for The X Factor. She auditioned in Kansas City, Missouri^[10] with "Unchained Melody", but Demi was disappointed and stopped her midway, with LA asking her to pick another song. She then sang "Ain't No Other Man", a Christina Aguilera song. During Bootcamp, Frey was compared to Paige Thomas: at The Part 1, they both sang Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You & at the Part 2, they sang Secrets by OneRepublic. She sang the acoustic version of LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" for the "judges' homes" phase. Her mentor Demi Lovato chose Frey to compete in the live shows. Frey performed "Because the Night" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. During the first live results show on November 1, 2012, Frey and Willie Jones were put into the bottom two where they were asked to "sing for their lives", in order for one of them to remain in the competition. Frey performed "Out Here On My Own", and Lovato selected her to remain in the competition, sending home Jones. Frey reached #12 in the next week, expected as in Demi Lovato's view, and had to sing off against Brock, of which she was saved in deadlock. During Week 2's results, Frey gained 7 spots, placing her in the fifth spot. She then shifted from the Bottom Two to fifth place, until, on December 6, 2012, Frey was eliminated when she received the lowest amount of votes from the public, which made her 6th place overall.

Jennel Garcia[link]

Jennel Annette Garcia (born June 8, 1994) from Rochester, Massachusetts, sang "Paris (Ooh La La)" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals for her audition in Providence, Rhode Island.^[5] She received 4 yeses. During bootcamp, Garcia's performance was described by L.A. Reid as being "spicy". Garcia sang Sweeter by Gavin DeGraw. She performed I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry for her mentor Demi Lovato and guest mentor Nick Jonas. Lovato selected Garcia to compete in the live shows. She performed "Home Sweet Home" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. Although she got tons of praise from mentor Lovato, Jennel was eliminated from the competition after a sing-off against fellow Young Adult contender, Paige Thomas on November 15, 2012. Britney Spears, L.A. Reid, and Simon Cowell all voted to send her home, while Lovato voted to keep her. She finished in eleventh place.

Willie Jones[link]

Willie Jones (born September 23, 1994) is a country singer from Shreveport, Louisiana. He surprised the judges when he sang "Your Man" from Josh Turner during his audition in Greensboro, North Carolina.^[11] He sang Tony Rich's "Nobody Knows" for his mentor Demi Lovato and guest mentor Nick Jonas during the judge's homes round. Lovato selected Jones to participate in the live shows. Jones performed "Here for the Party" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. During the first live show on November 1, 2012, Jones, along with CeCe Frey were placed by Lovato into the bottom two where they were asked to "sing for their lives", in order for 1 of them to remain in the competition. Lovato selected Frey to stay in the competition, and Jones was sent home.

Paige Thomas[link]

Paige Ava Thomas (born August 25, 1990)^[12] is a nursing school student from San Antonio, Texas. single mother of three-year old Jade. Her mother sadly died in a car crash on Christmas Eve when she was three-years old. Thomas auditioned in Austin, Texas^[13] and sang "I'm Going Down" from Rose Royce, also performed by Mary J. Blige. In The Bootcamp, she sang "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston at the Part 1 and "Secrets" by OneRepublic in the Part 2 against CeCe Frey, her rival since the beginning of the Bootcamp. At her judges homes, she sang the acoustic version of "Turn Up the Music" for her mentor Demi Lovato Lovato selected Thomas to participate in the live shows. Thomas was the first to perform at the first live show, where she performed "What Is Love" on October 31, 2012. The next day on the results show, Lovato selected Paige to move on to the following week of live shows along with Jennel Garcia. On the November 15, 2012 results show, Paige was placed in the bottom 2 via public vote along with Jennel Garcia, with whom she had to sing against for survival. Paige sang a rendition of "Paradise" by the British band Coldplay and was saved by the judges for the following week in a 3–1 ratio against Garcia. During the November 21, 2012 live show, Paige sang an emotional rendition of "Everytime" by recording artist and X-Factor judge/mentor Britney Spears. Spears commented that Paige sang the song "beautifully" and on the November 22, 2012 results show, Paige was sent through to the top 8 in 6th position. She performed "Never Gonna Give You Up" during the November 28, 2012 performance show, receiving positive reception from the judges, all commenting that it was her best performance yet. Despite the positive reception, she was eliminated during the November 29, 2012 live results show, coming in eighth place. In mid to late December, Thomas posted an update to her Twitter saying "ROC NATION" which would seem to imply that Thomas has been signed to Roc Nation, a record label run by Jay-Z who have shelled out well known recording artists such as Rihanna, Rita Ora and Jay-Z himself. However, despite the Twitter update, no confirmations have been made by either Roc Nation or Thomas as to if she has indeed been signed.

Over 25s[link]

The over 25s are mentored by L.A. Reid.

The "Over 25s" category was mentored by L.A. Reid. The six candidates were David Correy, Daryl Black, Jason Brock, Tate Stevens, Tara Simon and Vino Alan. Reid chose the following:

Vino Alan[link]

Vino Alan (age 40) is from Waynesville, Missouri. He is the father of an 18-year old son, Sky D. A musician with many tattoos, he plays shows for the military personnel. He sang Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble" at his audition in Kansas City, Missouri.^[10] At judges' houses, he sang "Sober" by Pink in front of his mentor L.A. Reid and guest mentors Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun. Reid selected Alan to participate in the live shows. Alan performed "Gotta Be Somebody" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. During the first live results show on November 1, Reid put Alan into the Top 12. Despite placing third for the entire competition, he dropped in the ranks and was in the bottom two with Diamond White on November 29. He was eliminated that night by a majority judge vote, finishing in seventh place.

Jason Brock[link]

Jason Brock was a technical support representative. He auditioned in San Francisco, California with a show-stopping rendition of Billy Joel's New York State of Mind.^[9] He was selected by L.A. Reid to move on to the live rounds in the "Over 25" category. At the Judges' Home performance round, he sang Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" for mentor L.A. Reid and guest mentors Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun. Brock was selected by Reid to participate in the live shows where he performed "Dance Again" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. The following night, during the results show he placed – along with David Correy – into the bottom two and had to compete to remain in the competition. He performed "One Moment in Time" and was selected by Reid to go onto the Top 13. He was eliminated by a deadlock vote on November 8, finishing in thirteenth place.

David Correy[link]

David Correy (born October 8, 1985)^[14] is a musician from Riva, Maryland who auditioned in Greensboro, NC^[11] with Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are". He was born in Brazil to a 14-year old teen mom and was then adopted. When he auditioned for The X Factor, one of his goals was to reunite with his birth mother. Thanks to the show, in October 2012, his biological mom (Luciene Lima) found him after 25 years of separation.^[15] Correy was selected by Reid to compete in the live shows. He performed "My Love Is Your Love" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. During the first live results show, Correy was put into the bottom two and was asked to "sing for his life" in order to remain in the competition, along with Jason Brock. Correy performed "Since U Been Gone". Reid selected Brock to remain in the competition, sending Correy home.

Tate Stevens[link]

Stephen Eatinger^[16] (born March 1, 1975), known by his stage name Tate Stevens, is a country crooner from Belton, Missouri. He auditioned with Randy Houser's "Anything Goes" in Kansas City.^[10] He was selected by Reid to compete during the live shows. Stevens performed "Tough" during the first live show on October 31. During he first live results show on November 1, Reid put Stevens into the Top 12. He received the highest number of public votes in both week 2 and week 3, and was runner up to Carly Rose Sonenclar in the next two following weeks, but reclaimed the top spot after three weeks. Stevens was announced as the winner of The X Factor on December 20, 2012.

The "Groups" category was mentored by Simon Cowell. The six groups were LYRIC 145, Dope Crisis, Emblem 3, Sister C, Playback, LYLAS (subsequently renamed 1432, now known as Fifth Harmony). Cowell chose the following:

Emblem3[link]

Emblem3 (also Emblem Three or E3) is a three-member boy-band made up of Wesley Trent Stromberg, (born December 6, 1993 (vocals, rhythm guitar), his younger brother Keaton Robert Stromberg, (born July 16, 1996)^[17] (vocals, bass guitar) and their friend Andrew Michael "Drew" Chadwick, (born October 1, 1992 (vocals, lead guitar),.^[18] They used to live in Huntington Beach, California, but after the show they moved to Hollywood to be closer to the studio.^[19] The three auditioned in San Francisco, singing an original song called "Sunset Boulevard" written by Drew Chadwick. During bootcamp, they sang "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls and at judges' houses, they performed "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police and were chosen by Cowell for the live shows. They performed "One Day" by Matisyahu during their first live show on October 31. In addition they were selected as the first group to enter the top twelve by Simon Cowell. On the second live show on November 7, the group performed a mashup of "My Girl" by the Temptations and "California Gurls" by Katy Perry with "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction as the background track. After the second live show the group was ranked sixth based on the fan votes and made it to the next week's live shows. On the third live show, they performed "No One" by Alicia Keys and were ranked fourth by the fan votes moving on to week five. On the fourth live show on November 21, 2012, they performed "Secrets" by OneRepublic and were ranked again 4th by the American public. For the fifth live show, they performed "I'm a Believer" by The Monkees & were ranked third, The difference between second place and them was less than 1%. On the sixth live show, the group performed two songs. The first one, chosen by their mentor, was "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars. The second song, chosen by the fans in the Pepsi Challenge, was "Forever Young" by Alphaville. The group was once again ranked third overall by the fans' votes. In the semi-finals, they performed "Baby, I Love Your Way" by Peter Frampton as their own choice and "Hey Jude" by The Beatles as Cowell's choice. They were eliminated on the result show and placed in fourth place. On January 9, 2013, it was announced they signed a joint record deal with Syco Music and Columbia Records.^[20]

Fifth Harmony[link]

Fifth Harmony (also 5th Harmony or 5H) (formerly LYLAS and later 1432) is a five-member girl group. Ages are between 15 and 19, the five members from eldest to youngest are Allyson "Ally" Brooke Hernandez (born July 7, 1993 (age 19) from San Antonio, Texas, Normani Kordei Hamilton (born May 31, 1996 (age 16)^[21] from Houston, Texas, Lauren Michelle Jauregui (born June 27, 1996 (age 16) and^[22] Karla Camila Cabello (born March 3, 1997 (age 15),^[23] both from Miami, Florida, and Dinah Jane Hansen (born June 19, 1997 (age 15)^[24] from Santa Ana, California. Dinah Jane Hansen was the youngest member in the group; the eldest of 15 grandchildren and lives with 23 people (extended family) in a 4-bedroom house. Lauren Jauregui is the eldest of three children. Ally weighed only 1 pound 14 ounces at birth; by surviving overwhelming odds, doctors declared she was a miracle baby. Her nationality is Mexican. Normani Hamilton's interests lie in singing, gymnastics, dance, and ballet. She has been competing in beauty pageants since she was little. Just recently she was competing in the Miss Texas beauty pageant and made it all the way to the finals but instead insisted on competing for The X Factor.^[25][26] Some reports indicate that Jauregui is dating Keaton Stromberg from Emblem3. Other reports indicated Normani Hamilton and X Factor teens category Arin Ray's "friendship" caused a feud with the producers of The X Factor and Cowell, stating that it's against the rules for any contestant to be in a relationship prior to the show.^[27][28][29]

At judges' houses, the group sang "Impossible" by Shontelle. Originally, the group's name was "LYLAS" (an initialism of Love You Like A Sister), but another group called "The Lylas" (which consists of four of Bruno Mars' sisters) claimed that the show stole their name.^[30] Therefore, LYLAS changed their name to 1432 (which stands for I Love You Too), which was announced on the first live show on October 31, during which 1432 performed "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid were critical of the new name. Cowell suggested them to re-rename the group as there were too many numbers among the Groups category's names. During the first live results show on November 1, 1432 performed "Skyscraper" in a sing-off with Sister C. Cowell decided to send them through to the Top 12 and announced that they would be renamed by the viewers online. The name chosen by the public was announced: "Fifth Harmony." On the second live show on November 7 (Movie Themes Week), they performed "A Thousand Years", by Christina Perri, from the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, having reached the fifth place in that week's results. On the third live show on November 14 (Divas Week), they performed the song "Hero", by Mariah Carey, and reached sixth place in the week's results. On the fourth live show they sang "I'll Stand By You" by The Pretenders. During the week 4 results show, they placed 7th on the leaderboard. On the fifth live show, Hernandez's grandfather died just before the competition began. Due to this incident, the girls performed Kelly Clarkson's Stronger in dedication to her grandfather. On the fifth result show they placed 4th on the leader board. During week six due to her grandfather's loss Hernandez had leave to go see her grandfather's funeral, resulting in missing practice. They performed two songs: Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" and Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break". In week six's results, they placed in the bottom two and sung for survival with Mariah Carey's "Anytime You Need a Friend" and landed a spot in the Top 4.

In the semi-finals stage of the show, they performed Ellie Goulding's "Anything Could Happen" and they also performed Shontelle's "Impossible" for the second time in the competition. Their first performance of the evening (Anything could happen) was "a finals-caliber performance" according to L.A. Reid and described as "Magic" by 2012's top-earning female entertainer Britney Spears.^[31] Their second performance of the night (Impossible) received mostly negative reviews from the judges because the group had performed the song at Simon Cowell's home (although not on "The X-Factor" concert stage). Three members of the group (Camila, Lauren, and Ally) sang parts of the song in fluent Spanish. The following night's public-vote results got Fifth Harmony advanced to the Final 3 with soloists Tate Stevens and Carly Rose Sonenclar.^[32] After the first round of the finals they did not receive enough votes from the public to get them to the Top 2, and they ended up coming in 3rd place on December 20, 2012.

Fifth Harmony won PopDust Breakout star of 2013, beating Austin Mahone, Little Mix, Timeflies, and Union J.^[33] On January 17, 2013, it was announced that they had been signed to Epic Records and Syco Music.^[34][35]

LYRIC 145[link]

LYRIC 145 is made up of Julien Joseph (born February 17, 1993), Jemelle "Melee" Joseph (born July 9, 1988) (known as One4Five) from Queens, New York and Bianca Barnes (born December 14, 1989)^[36] (known as Lyric Da Queen) from Flint, Michigan. One4Five originally applied as a male duo, and advanced in the auditions with four yeses. As one of the six groups in bootcamp, they were seemingly safe, but the judges only picked 3, eliminating them. After the results were over, they and a solo female contestant, Lyric Da Queen, were brought back, and formed into a group, advancing them to the judges houses. The act's name was then changed to LYRIC 145 to incorporate both acts. For their judges' houses performance, they rapped the lyrics from "Party in the U.S.A.", a song originally sung by Miley Cyrus. Cowell selected LYRIC 145 to advance to the live shows. They performed "Boom! Shake the Room"/"Gangnam Style" during the first live show on October 31, 2012. In addition they were selected as one of the two groups to automatically enter the top twelve by Simon Cowell. In the second live show, they performed "Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious" from Mary Poppins, and advanced at ninth place. They performed Queen's "We Will Rock You" in the third live show, and went down four spots; they were eliminated with the fewest public votes on November 15 and finished in 12th place, much to the crowd's dismay. After the results on week 4, Lyric 145 revealed that they originally were going to perform Aretha Franklin's "R.E.S.P.E.C.T.", but it got changed by their mentor at the last moment.

Sister C[link]

Sister C is a three-piece girl group consisting of sisters Cirby Ryan Manchaca (born December 13, 1990),^[37] Carli Rayne Manchaca (born April 26, 1993),^[38] and Celbi Rheygan Manchaca (born August 12, 1994,^[39] who are natives of Harris County, Texas. They were aged 17 to 21 when they were filmed for their X Factor Austin audition in May, 2012 at the Frank Erwin Center. They tweeted from their OfficialSisterC Twitter account on October 6, 2012 that the youngest had a birthday in August and that they were 18, 19 and 21 years old on that date ("@lovedrewryn Cirby is 21 carli is 19 celbi is 18 (just turned in August)".^[40] They are Cirby (oldest), Carli (middle) and Celbi (youngest) Manchaca from Mont Belvieu, Texas.^[41][42] On October 23, 2012, Sister C was officially recognized for their appearance on The X Factor by the Chambers County Commissioners Court.^{[43][44][45][46]}

Their initial audition song was "Hell on Heels" by the Pistol Annies. For their "judges' houses" performance they performed "Leavin" by Shelby Lynne. They performed "Hell on Heels" for the second time during the first live show on October 31, 2012. Sister C was put into a sing-off with 1432, during the first live results show on November 1, where they performed "When I Look at You". After the sing-off Cowell chose 1432 to continue on and Sister C were eliminated from the competition.
