In May 2011, l'Austral joinded La Compagnie du Ponant's fleet. This superb mega-yacht with 132 cabins is the result of the expertise of the Italian Fincantieri shipyard and French sophistication, as interpreted by designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. L'Austral remains faithful to our philosophy - to create a unique atmosphere, a subtle blend of luxury, intimacy and well-being.
A sleek silhouette softened by elegantly smooth contours and large, arched windows opening up to the sea and the light: so many features come together to give L’Austral her distinctive shape. Precious materials, discreet elegance and a perfect balance between chic and casual, combine to make you feel as if you are on your own private yacht. A design blending tradition and innovation, where a nautical mood has been subtly recreated. Precious materials in smoothing neutral tones are brought to life with splashes of cheerful reds. So many personal touches create the spirit of a “private yacht.”
You will encounter unique itineraries, calls inaccessible to large ships, chic and elegant yacht-like ambiance, raffined and personnalized service as well as gastronomic cuisine.

A superb mega-yacht with 132 cabins, she is the fruit of the expertise of the Italian Fincantieri shipyard and French sophistication, as interpreted by designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. Le Boréal remains faithful to our philosophy - to create a unique atmosphere, a subtle blend of luxury, intimacy and well-being.
Superior materials, discreet elegance and a tasteful décor combined with exterior and interior lines to reflect a nautical mood, subtly revisited. A sleek silhouette, a welcoming intimate atmosphere, discover aboard this new ship the philosophy that has made our sisterships such a success: the spirit of Yacht Cruises.
Sailing under the French flag, this magnificent yacht of only 122 staterooms and Suites, with balconies, will join our fleet in April 2015. You will be enchanted by the contemporary decor inspired by the our destinations and the blue light of the Vega star in the Lyra constellation. The result is a subtle variation around a palette of blues, ranging from the luminous delicate grey-blue of the Polar ice to splashes of the vivid turquoise blue found in Mediterranean coves
A refined ambiance is enhanced by the quality of the workmanship and materials: white Corian counters in the lobby contrast with the warmth of leather to recall a boat’s hull, while the central sculpture of enamelled pieces takes its inspiration from the sea. In the loungebar, the carpet picks up a tennis stripe theme symbolising a certain idea of cruising, one synonymous with French elegance and a chic seaside spirit.

A sleek silhouette, a welcoming intimate atmosphere, discover aboard this new ship the philosophy that has made L’AUSTRAL and LE BORéAL such a success: the spirit of Yacht Cruises.
Sailing under the French flag, this magnificent yacht of only 132 staterooms and Suites, with balconies, will join the fleet in June 2013. You will be enchanted by the contemporary decor inspired by the luxury yachting world, with fluid lines and a modern colour scheme combining natural wood with shades of grey and white.
Accommodation
Your beautiful stateroom or suite provides an ideal retreat, equipped with modern facilities for your comfort and convenience.
The accommodation has a unique French touch with interior design by Jean-Philippe Nuel and fabrics by Pierre Frey. All staterooms have complimentary beauty kits by L’Occitane. As you would expect aboard a French-owned cruise, the gourmet cuisine is on a par with top fine dining restaurants. With a delicate French touch, every menu is inspired by specialties and local produce from various ports of call and, naturally, accompanied by excellent wines. All the ships have two or three restaurants from which every single diner can enjoy magnificent panoramic ocean views.
Entertainment
The intimate size of the luxury yacht Le Ponant offers the opportunity to mingle with new and old friends in the intimate atmosphere of piano bars and chic lounges. And special events typically include a Captain’s cocktail party and farewell dinner celebration.
Family Fun
Ponant’s Kids Club has lots to offer for children including fun tea parties and games, piano lessons and more. Special children’s menus and interconnecting rooms ensure children get a warm Ponant welcome. The club is complimentary for one child aged 8-12, sharing a cabin with two adults.
