These two cars have surprising similarities on paper. They are in many ways attainable everyman supercars. In fact, co-host Paul is debating between them. He bought this Cayman GTS used, and has a BMW M2 on order. So, paired with a Press car from BMW, we set out to see which is the best one to reach for. Subscribe for Videos on Thursdays! The BMW 1 Series M Coupe was an instant classic. It was the product of an internal skunkworks project to shoehorn the suspension, wheels, and brakes from the larger M3 Competition Pack into the 1 Series. The fender-flared squat little bulldog was a bit badly behaved, which only made us love it more. These days, BMW’s cars are more capable, but at the expense of the involvement that made the brand what it is today. So we were genuinely concerned that the M2 would be more of a marketing exercise than a real Motorsport-inspired product. Motor Trend Senior Editor Jason Cammisa takes the M2 to the back roads, and brings SCCA Hall of Fame inductee Randy Pobst along to the Streets of Willow to find out if the M2 is a worthy successor to the laugh-a-minute 1M Coupe in this episode of Ignition, pre...
Today I can present to You the full DRIVE & SOUND test with the all-new 2016 / 2017 BMW M2 Coupé powered by a 3.0 R6 Turbo delivering 370 hp and up to 500 Nm of torque. This particular car is fitted with the marvelous M-Performance exhaust which features more or less a straight pipe (incl. CAT) in Track Mode. Although that the standard exhaust already sounds amazing this one adds that extra 30% on top you do not want to miss anymore. So we’ve taken a BMW M2 and a Porsche 718 Cayman S. And we’d like to know two things: which of these two German sports coupes is faster around our handling circuit, and which of them is more fun. The M2 is front-engined and has a straight-six cylinder turbocharged engine making 365bhp. The 718 Cayman S, though, is mid-engined – a more racy layout – but these days has to make do with a mere four-cylinder engine, albeit one making 345bhp. Our testers are standing by to answer both questions. Let us know if you'd have the Cayman or the M2 in the comments below. New videos are uploaded to Autocar each week. Don't miss a single one. When you walked into my world
I was someone else's girl
Every time you look in my eyes
All that I felt somehow dies
No no no no
Can't you see what you're doing to me
No no no no
Don't look at me with that smile
Don't act like everything's fine
Stop putting dreams in my head
When I should've thought of him instead
When you say the things you do
It makes me want to be with you
And every time that he kisses me
You are always what I see
No no no no
You make me forget about him
No no no no
No no no no
Can't you see what you're doing to me
