Costa Rica witness at Cartago reported watching and photographing a saucer-shaped UFO near the Irazú Volcano National Park, according to testimony in Case 74756 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was outside in the park area with a girlfriend in good weather with sunlight and no clouds when the incident occurred at 11:06 a.m. on February 24, 2016.
“This volcano is 3,400 meters of altitude above sea level (11,260 feet) close to the biosphere, so we were above the clouds,” the witness stated.“Like when you fly on an airplane, the sky was really clear so at 11 a.m. on that altitude part of the sky was light black.”

"EL PRIMER SATÉLITE HECHO EN COSTA RICA: Tecnología espacial para el monitoreo de cambio climático".
Irazú es un proyecto de la Asociación Centroamericana de Aeronáutica y del Espacio (ACAE), y desarrollado en conjunto con el Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC).
Necesitamos de tu apoyo para recaudar los últimos $75 000 para poner este satélite en el espacio: (LINK A KS)
Además de su objetivo principal, que consiste en desarrollar capacidades en los profesionales y estudiantes costarricenses para llevar a cabo una verdadera misión espacial, Irazú se convertirá en la prueba de concepto de una plataforma para el monitoreo del cambio climático en los bosques tropicales de Costa Rica.
Este proyecto conjuga los esfuerzos de la academia, la industria local y la sociedad civil. Fue además declarado de interés público por el Gobierno de Costa Rica en el 2014.

The Irazú Volcano (Spanish: Volcán Irazú) is an active volcano in Costa Rica, situated in the Cordillera Central close to the city of Cartago.
The name could come from either the combination of "ara" (point) and "tzu" (thunder) or a corruption of Iztarú, which was the name of an indigenous village on the flanks of the volcano. In Costa Rica it is known by the name of "El Coloso" (The Colossus) due to the catastrophes that it has provoked in the past.
The volcano's summit has several craters, one of which contains Diego de la Haya, a green crater lake of variable depth. It is the highest active volcano in Costa Rica. It is easily visited from San José, with a road leading right up to the summit craters and a weekly bus service to the top. It is thus a popular tourist spot. The volcano summit also spots a few television transmitters for television stations in San José.
From the top it is possible to see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans on a clear day. However, such clear days are very rare indeed, and it is typical for the volcano's summit to be covered in cloud for much of the time.

"EL PRIMER SATÉLITE HECHO EN COSTA RICA: Tecnología espacial para el monitoreo de cambio climático".
Irazú es un proyecto de la Asociación Centroamericana de Aeronáutica y del Espacio (ACAE), y desarrollado en conjunto con el Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC).
Necesitamos de tu apoyo para recaudar los últimos $75 000 para poner este satélite en el espacio: (LINK A KS)
Además de su objetivo principal, que consiste en desarrollar capacidades en los profesionales y estudiantes costarricenses para llevar a cabo una verdadera misión espacial, Irazú se convertirá en la prueba de concepto de una plataforma para el monitoreo del cambio climático en los bosques tropicales de Costa Rica.
Este proyecto conjuga los esfuerzos de la academia, la industria local y la sociedad civil. Fue además declarado de interés público por el Gobierno de Costa Rica en el 2014.
