History-sheeter found murdered in Madurai
TNN | May 28, 2016, 08.01 AM ISTMadurai: A 45-year-old history-sheeter was found murdered here in broad daylight nearby a prominent hotel on Panagal Road.
The victim was identified as B Ambikapathi, 45, from Melakara Street in Vaigai North Bank Road. Police said there were many cases, including two murders registered against him in various police stations.
Police said they received information about the dead body, following which they rushed to the spot. Ambikapathi was hacked using a sickle. A big cut was found on his head. They said the murder took place at around 1.15pm on Friday.
Police said they are find out the motive behind the murder or the number of people involved in the incident. They are conducting investigation with the friends of the deceased and relatives to get some lead.
Investigation is also on with the people near the murder spot to ascertain whether they witnessed the murder or accused involved. He was the third person to be murdered in the city in the last two days. Two people were murdered on Wednesday night - one in Vandiyur and the other one in Jaihinpuram.
