Umbra will feature different gameplay modes including, but not limited to: A robust single player story campaign, coop multiplayer missions, randomized dungeons, bounties, and much more! There is also player housing, a deep crafting system, day and night cycles with different enemies, and even secrets around the environment, at different times! :D

The umbra, penumbra and antumbra are the names given to three distinct parts of a shadow, created by any light source. For a point source only the umbra is cast.
These names are most often used to refer to the shadows cast by celestial bodies.
The umbra (Latin for "shadow") is the innermost & darkest part of the shadows, where the light source is completely blocked by the occluding body. An observer in the umbra experiences a total eclipse.
The penumbra (from the Latin paene "almost, nearly" and umbra "shadow") is the region in which only a portion of the light source is obscured by the occluding body. An observer in the penumbra experiences a partial eclipse. An alternative definition is that the penumbra is the region where some or all of the light source is obscured (i.e., the umbra is a subset of the penumbra). For example, NASA's Navigation and Ancillary Information Facility defines that a body in the umbra is also within the penumbra.
In radiation oncology, the penumbra is the space in the periphery of the main target of radiation therapy, and has been defined as the volume receiving between 80% and 20% of isodose.

Umbra ist ein neuer Stern am Indie-Himmel. Das 3-Köpfige Entwickler-Team setzt hierbei auf die CryEngine, womit Spiele wie Crysis und Far Cry erstellt wurden. Handelt es sich hierbei nur um einen billiges Diablo 3 Abklatsch oder hat Umbra mehr zu bieten? Fakt ist, mir persönlich gefällt es bereits in der Prototype-Version schon. Umbra ist ein neuer Stern am Indie-Himmel. Das 3-Köpfige Entwickler-Team setzt hierbei auf die CryEngine, womit Spiele wie Crysis und Far Cry erstellt wurden.
Handelt es sich hierbei nur um einen billiges Diablo 3 Abklatsch oder hat Umbra mehr zu bieten?
Fakt ist, mir persönlich gefällt es bereits in der Prototype-Version schon. Was da noch kommt, kann einen nur vom Hocker hauen, so ist zumindest zu hoffen.
Tipp: Unterstütze die Entwickler in der Kickstarter-Kampagne. Bereits ab 12$ bekommst du eine Steam-Version, sobald sie verfügbar ist. Erfahrungsgemäß wird es auf Steam um einiges teurer werden. Ihr sichert somit nicht nur die finanzielle Grundlage der Entwickler, sondern sichert EUCH auch gleich das Spiel.

Q. Dear Umbra,. I’m kind of fascinated by the tiny house movement because they’re cute. But if they’re on wheels, I really don’t see why people don’t just buy a trailer (I guess toxic building materials may be an issue). What is the resource impact of a tiny house when they don’t have to meet basic energy codes for insulation, windows, etc.? I assume most are heated with propane ... Ginger W ... This is one flight delay people were actually happy about. Alaska Airlines delayed a Tuesday flight by 25 minutes so that passengers would have an ideal view of a total solar eclipse ... There was just one slight problem. The flight was scheduled to come 25 minutes too early to catch the moment when the sun and moon aligned ... We're guessing the view was worth the delay ...
