Hilary Lavender Mason (4 September 1917 – 5 September 2006) was an English character actress who appeared in a wide variety of roles, mainly on UK television.
Mason was born in London and trained at the London School of Dramatic Art. She is probably best known internationally for her performance as the blind psychic in Nicolas Roeg's film Don't Look Now. She appeared in Gunfight at the O.K. Laundrette, the pilot episode of ITV's critically acclaimed drama Minder. She also made regular appearances in Z-Cars and Dixon of Dock Green, and made an appearance in Ripping Yarns. In the 1985 TV movie Marple: The Moving Finger, she appeared as Emily Barton, and in 1986 she appeared as Mrs Gummidge in the BBC series David Copperfield.
In later years Mason appeared as Gladys in the popular children's TV show Maid Marian and her Merry Men. Her last role was in the children's programme Aquila.
To fast-forward is to moveable
To reach a certain portion of a song, a person may fast-forward through a cassette tape by pressing a button (often labeled "Fast Forward" itself) on the tape deck containing the tape. The tape deck's motor activates at a speed higher than usual—for example, double the standard 1-7/8 ips playing speed of the 1/8" cassette tape—and can be stopped by the end of the tape, the pressing of a "Stop" button on the deck (or another button mechanism disengaging the button), or simply lifting a finger from the "Fast Forward" button.
Fast-forwarding is the exact opposite of rewinding, in which tape, music, etc., are moved backward at a user's discretion. In either operation, because of sound distortion, volume is usually muted or severely reduced.
With the advent of inexpensive digital music media, fast-forwarding has most likely lost its past meaning related to the speed of a tape deck motor (or record turntable, or another device allowing fast-forwarding) and now may, especially as cassette tapes and other analogue media are used less and less by younger generations, only apply to the operation of moving ahead in a recording's time frame—accomplished today by simple clicking, dragging a slide image, or even via speech-recognition software. (Still, some CD and DVD players offer tape-style fast-forwarding, so that the user can detect when the destination is reached and stop.)
Hilary or Hillary may refer to:
Mason may refer to:
Data (/ˈdeɪtə/ DAY-tə, /ˈdætə/ DA-tə, or /ˈdɑːtə/ DAH-tə) is a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables; restated, pieces of data are individual pieces of information. Data is measured, collected and reported, and analyzed, whereupon it can be visualized using graphs or images. Data as a general concept refers to the fact that some existing information or knowledge is represented or coded in some form suitable for better usage or processing.
Raw data, i.e. unprocessed data, is a collection of numbers, characters; data processing commonly occurs by stages, and the "processed data" from one stage may be considered the "raw data" of the next. Field data is raw data that is collected in an uncontrolled in situ environment. Experimental data is data that is generated within the context of a scientific investigation by observation and recording.
The Latin word "data" is the plural of "datum", and still may be used as a plural noun in this sense. Nowadays, though, "data" is most commonly used in the singular, as a mass noun (like "information", "sand" or "rain").

She is also the Data Scientist Resident for Accel. In a few word, as it is described in its blog, she make beautiful things with data. She came to USI to tell us a bit more about how we can innovate through Data. Imagine you are living in 1950 and you’re sent in the future, let’s say in 2015. What would be the hardest thing to explain to you? The answer would probably be: this small thing able to access to an unlimited number of informations. But we’re still using it to look at pictures of cats, and send basic text messages. For Hilary Mason, that’s a shame. Technology is evolving so fast and we’re still the same users. Data ...
We live in strange times. A machine plays the strategy game “Go” better than any human; upstarts like Apple and Google destroy industry stalwarts such as Nokia; ideas from the crowd are repeatedly more innovative than corporate research labs. We must rethink the integration of minds and machines, of products and platforms, and of the core and the crowd. In all three cases, the balance now favors the second element of each pair, with massive implications for how we run our companies and live our lives.
