Volume 1 (CKY album)

Volume 1 is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band CKY. Recorded at The Ground Hog Studios in Holland, Pennsylvania, it was produced by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg and released on February 27, 1999 by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International. Since its initial release as Camp Kill Yourself, the album has been reissued by various record labels with different titles and artwork.

Most of the material for Volume 1 was written by vocalist and guitarist Deron Miller before the addition of Ginsburg completed the band's lineup, during which time he and drummer Jess Margera were performing under the name Oil with live bassist Ryan Bruni. Miller plays bass on the album, although Bruni does feature on "The Human Drive in Hi-Fi" and "Lost in a Contraption".

Despite its lack of chart success, Volume 1 features a number of the band's signature songs, including arguably their best-known track, "96 Quite Bitter Beings". Many of the songs were originally featured on skateboarding and stunt videos produced by Margera's brother Bam, including the CKY video series with which the band shares its name. "96 Quite Bitter Beings" was released as a single in 1999.

Volume 1 (Future Boy album)

Volume 1 is the debut solo album from ex-Busted and Son of Dork band member James Bourne, under the name Future Boy. The complete album was officially released via digital download on 3 June 2010. Produced and mixed by Tommy Henriksen and James Bourne, Bourne describes the album as "100% electronic - and not a rock album". The album had been previously released in two halves - with 'Side A' being released on 3 May, and 'Side B' being released on 1 June. The album's artwork was designed and painted by Paul Karslake. Bourne claims that the album will be released on CD at 'some point', but it will depend on 'when he has the cash'. Bourne has promoted the album by being the supporting act for Twenty Twenty during their 2010 Clubs & Pubs Tour.

The entire album was written and recorded in a week but was not released straight away.

Volume 1 (Vol. 1°) is the second studio release by Italian singer-songwriter Fabrizio De André and his first true studio album. It was first issued in 1967 on Bluebell Records.

"Preghiera in Gennaio"

The song is dedicated to the memory of Fabrizio's longtime friend Luigi Tenco, who had committed suicide in January that year, after taking part in the Italian Song Festival of Sanremo and failing to advance to the final competition. The lyrics deal with the theme of suicide and the Church's systematic condemnation of those who kill themselves.

"Marcia nuziale"

A translated version of the song "La Marche nuptiale", written in 1956 by Georges Brassens, who De André always considered a master as well as one of his greatest sources of inspiration.

"Spiritual"

A spiritual in which De André sings with a deep voice, similar to that of African American singers.

"Si chiamava Gesù"

The singer narrates the story of Jesus in an avanguardist way, saying that his goal isn't to glorify someone who he believes was "nothing but a man gone down in history as a god". While maintaining an atheist point of view, De André shows great respect and admiration toward the human figure of Jesus, who he defined "the greatest revolutionary of all history".

Israel (/ˈɪzreɪəl/ or /ˈɪzriːəl/; Hebrew: יִשְׂרָאֵל‎ Yisrā'el; Arabic: إِسْرَائِيل‎ Isrāʼīl), officially the State of Israel (Hebrew: מְדִינַת יִשְׂרָאֵל‎ Medīnat Yisrā'el [mediˈnat jisʁaˈʔel]; Arabic: دولة إِسْرَائِيل‎ Dawlat Isrāʼīl [dawlat ʔisraːˈʔiːl]), is a country in the Middle East, situated at the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and the northern shore of the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. It shares land borders with Lebanon to the north, Syria in the northeast, Jordan on the east, the Palestinian territories (which are claimed by the State of Palestine and are partially controlled by Israel) comprising the West Bank and Gaza Strip to the east and west, respectively, and Egypt to the southwest. Israel David Bascón Gigato (born 16 March 1987 in Utrera, Seville), known simply as Israel, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right midfielder.

Betis

A product of Real Betis's youth system, Israel made his debut for the first team against Real Sociedad, on 16 March 2005 (nine minutes, 0–1 away loss). During the 2004–05 season he made a further seven La Liga appearances, adding three in the Spanish Cup, where he scored his first goal for the Andalusians, against CD Mirandés.

In the following campaign Israel played again in just eight matches, all but one as a substitute, while also appearing in both European competitions, coming from the bench against Liverpool and R.S.C. Anderlecht in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

During the 2006 off-season, in August, vastly underplayed at Betis due to the presence of Joaquín in his position, Israel spent time at Chelsea on trial after a move to Real Madrid Castilla failed to materialise. His trial was unsuccessful, however, and the player then left for Mérida UD on a loan deal.

Israeli wine

Israeli wine is produced by hundreds of wineries, ranging in size from small boutique enterprises to large companies producing over ten million bottles per year. Wine has been produced in the Land of Israel since biblical times. In 2011, Israeli wine exports totaled over $26.7 million.

The modern Israeli wine industry was founded by Baron Edmond James de Rothschild, owner of the Bordeaux estate Château Lafite-Rothschild. Today, Israeli winemaking takes place in five vine-growing regions: Galil (Galilee, including the Golan Heights), the region most suited for viticulture due to its high elevation, cool breezes, marked day and night temperature changes and rich, well-drained soils; the Judean Hills, surrounding the city of Jerusalem; Shimshon (Samson), located between the Judean Hills and the Coastal Plain; the Negev, a semi-arid desert region, where drip irrigation has made grape growing possible; and the Sharon plain near the Mediterranean coast and just south of Haifa, surrounding the towns of Zichron Ya'akov and Binyamina, which is the largest grape growing area in Israel.
