I tried my best not to let myself hold onto regrets
But there was always something that I could not forget
Broken hearts, broken dreams and fucked up agreements
It's a new day, hold on
It's a new day, be strong
So many years of private fears but I made it somehow
I feel I've slept a hundred years and I am catching up now
It's a new day, hold on
A new day, be strong
It's a new day time to move on
When Wugga died, tears I cried but family struggles felt worst
All my life she told me baby you know family comes first
Lord have mercy on our souls if we continue these words
It's a new day, hold on
It's a new day, be strong
Sometimes when I pass by her house I can feel her spirit
And if I listen to the wind her voice I know is whisperin'
It's a new day, hold on
A new day, be strong
It's a new day time to move on
Don't spend your life trying to fight the path you've been given
If you fall hit the wall you have to crawl in the beginning
You take the good with the bad and then you keep on winning
It's a new day, hold on
It's a new day, be strong
