This video shows a fly-through for the section of the railway between Kilburn in north-west London to Brackley in Buckinghamshire (Community Forum Areas 14–4). This section is part of the Phase One route of HS2 between Birmingham and London.
It was prioritised for publishing at the time to assist petitioners along this part of the route who were due to be heard by the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Bill in the autumn of 2015.
The HS2 fly-through animation of the Phase One route between Birmingham Curzon Street and London Euston was developed by HS2 Ltd using the project’s engineering and environmental data.
This data is the same as that used in the drawings published in November 2013 and deposited in Parliament as part of the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Bill and Environmental Statement. The drawings show how the line and surrounding land will look once the railway is built and in operation.
An aerial video was filmed as the background of the animation. The CGI was superimposed on the video to show the current engineering and environmental design as described in the Bill.
These land boundaries are a snapshot in time: they do not reflect further design development since November 2013, or assurances and commitments given to landowners during the Parliamentary Select Committee process.

An 8mm film showing the demolition of the Brackley Viaduct which carried the Great Central Railway.
Opened in 1899, the line closed as part of the Beeching changes in the 60's along with Brackley Central station in 1966 and the viaduct was demolished around 10 years later.
The A43 Brackley By-Pass today passes through the site, you can still see the embankment of the railway just after the Buckingham Road roundabout if you are travelling towards Towcester.
The other station in Brackley which was on a line from Banbury to Bletchley via Buckingham closed in 1960 before the Beeching report - the station site is today occupied by the Fire Station, Police Station and other buildings down St James Road.
The railway is today still open from Marylebone to Aylesbury, and is planned to reopen via Calvert to form a new Marylebone to Milton Keynes Service. The section between Nottingham (Ruddington) and Leicester (Belgrave and Birstall) is still open running steam trains in two separate sections, soon to be joined by a new bridge.

Brackley is a town in south Northamptonshire, England. It is about 19 miles (31 km) from Oxford and 22 miles (35 km) from Northampton. Historically a market town based on the wool and lace trade, it was built on the intersecting trade routes between London, Birmingham and the English Midlands and between Cambridge and Oxford. Brackley has connections with Formula 1 as it is close to Silverstone and home to Mercedes GP.
Brackley, originally also known as Brachelai or Brackele, was held in 1086 by Earl Alberic. After this it passed to the Earl of Leicester, and to the families of De Quincy and Roland.
In the 11th and 12th centuries Brackley was in the Hundred of Odboldistow and in the Manor of Halse. Richard I (The Lionheart) named five official sites for jousting tournaments[citation needed] so that such events could not be used as local wars, and Brackley was one of these. The tournament site is believed to be to the south of the castle where the A422 now passes.

The Reds never got going in this one and Brackley took all their chances to take the three points. Glenn Walters was the first to get on the scoresheet after little more than five minutes and David Moyo doubled the lead with the same time remaining in the first half. The break gave no rest to the scoring as the Saints carried on where they had left off, with Steve Diggin being left with acres of space to make it three. United had put a couple of chances on target, but they were all dealt with easily and Brackley took all theirs, including the another with 10 minutes to go from Tom Winters. Good atmosphere, bad result. -

Plot: "Where Adam Stood" is "based on" the 1907 autobiography, "Father and Son", by Christian fundamentalist and naturalist Edmund Gosse, but Dennis Potter adapted only one section of the book, adding much material of his own invention. The drama was filmed on the Devon coast near Torquay, not far from where Gosse lived. With a literal belief in the Old Testament, Philip Gosse is opposed to the new theories of Charles Darwin, espoused here by biologist Brackley. Assuming "the Lord's will" determines the fate of his ailing son Edmund, Philip Gosse creates a life-threatening situation, even suggesting the illness is God's punishment because of Edmund's desire for a toy ship. While looking at the ship in a shop window, Edmund is approached by the village's mad Mary Teague, and the deranged woman lures the child into the forest for an attempted sexual attack. He resists, throws a stone at her and flees. Later, he also resists and challenges his father's belief system by stating, "The Good Lord says I am to have the ship."

Glenn Walters was the first to get on the scoresheet after little more than five minutes and David Moyo doubled the lead with the same time remaining in the first half. The break gave no rest to the scoring as the Saints carried on where they had left off, with Steve Diggin being left with acres of space to make it three. United had put a couple of chances on target, but they were all dealt with easily and Brackley took all theirs, including the another with 10 minutes to go from Tom Winters. This video shows a fly-through for the section of the railway between Kilburn in north-west London to Brackley in Buckinghamshire (Community Forum Areas 14–4). This section is part of the Phase One route of HS2 between Birmingham and London.
It was prioritised for publishing at the time to assist petitioners along this part of the route who were due to be heard by the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Bill in the autumn of 2015.
The HS2 fly-through animation of the Phase One route between Birmingham Curzon Street and London Euston was developed by HS2 Ltd using the project’s engineering and environmental data.
This data is the same as that used in the drawings published in November 2013 and deposited in Parliament as part of the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Bill and Environmental Statement. The drawings show how the line and surrounding land will look once the railway is built and in operation.
An aerial video was filmed as the background of the animation. The CGI was superimposed on the video to show the current engineering and environmental design as described in the Bill.
These land boundaries are a snapshot in time: they do not reflect further design development since November 2013, or assurances and commitments given to landowners during the Parliamentary Select Committee process.

On a September evening I taped my GoPro to the bars of my Opus Avro with intent to ride the cycling lane from Brackley to Covehead - East to West. When I unpacked the bike and saw the sunset, I decided to cycle West to Robinson Island, then to Cove Head Harbour. Surely one of the most enjoyable and beautiful solo rides I've been on. Except for getting lost on the trails of the former campground. If you're a cycling Tourist, start from Covehead and travel into the sunset. The cycling lane makes it simply perfect. -

The “Anne of Green Gables” author was inspired by the beautiful agricultural lands of the Green Gables farm in Cavendish, and today the Green Gables farmhouse is considered a National Historic Site.
