Lego Creator

Lego Creator is a Lego theme. Formerly known as "Make and Create", Creator started with brick buckets and tubs, then switched jobs with Make and Create, the latter selling brick buckets and tubs, then renamed to "Bricks and More". Creator is divided in two major collections: X-Pods (now discontinued), with small pieces in small containers, and Creator, with large sets of various types, such as dinosaurs, cars, robots, and wildlife. The "Bricks and More" theme is for children to around four years or older, and only has brick buckets and tubs with various elements.

Lego

Lego (/ˈlɛɡoʊ/) is a line of plastic construction toys that are manufactured by The Lego Group, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company's flagship product, Lego, consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks accompanying an array of gears, figurines called minifigures, and various other parts. Lego pieces can be assembled and connected in many ways, to construct objects such as vehicles, buildings, and working robots. Anything constructed can then be taken apart again, and the pieces used to make other objects.

The Lego Group began manufacturing the interlocking toy bricks in 1949. Since then a global Lego subculture has developed. Supporting movies, games, competitions, and six Legoland amusement parks have been developed under the brand. As of July 2015, 600 billion Lego parts had been produced.

In February 2015, Lego replaced Ferrari as Brand Finance's "world's most powerful brand".

History

The Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (1891–1958), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932. In 1934, his company came to be called "Lego", derived from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well". In 1947, Lego expanded to begin producing plastic toys. In 1949 Lego began producing, among other new products, an early version of the now familiar interlocking bricks, calling them "Automatic Binding Bricks". These bricks were based in part on the Kiddicraft Self-Locking Bricks, which were patented in the United Kingdom in 1939 and released in 1947. Lego modified the design of the Kiddicraft brick after examining a sample that they received from the supplier of an injection-molding machine that Lego purchased. The bricks, originally manufactured from cellulose acetate, were a development of the traditional stackable wooden blocks of the time.

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, centered on a film series created by George Lucas. It depicts the adventures of various characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".

The first film in the series, Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope), was released on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. A prequel trilogy was later released between 1999 and 2005, which received a more mixed reaction from critics and fans, compared to the original trilogy. All seven films were nominated for or won Academy Awards, and were commercial successes, with a combined box office revenue of $4.38 billion, making Star Wars the fourth highest-grossing film series. The series has spawned an extensive media franchise—the Star Wars expanded universe—including books, television series, computer and video games, and comic books, resulting in significant development of the series's fictional universe. Star Wars also holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise." In 2012, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at USD $30.7 billion, including box-office receipts as well as profits from their video games and DVD sales.

Lego Ninjago

Lego Ninjago is a current line of sets produced by Lego. It uses ninjas from the previous Ninja series. There are several changes from the previous series. These include the removal of the Shogun and Bandits, and the introduction of the Skulkin, Serpentine, Stone Army, Nindroid Army, Anacondrai Cultists, Ghost Warriors and Sky Pirates. Also noticeable is the inclusion of advanced vehicles which imply a more modern setting than the feudal Japan setting of the previous incarnation.

Dragons have always been a significant part of Ninjago. An Elemental Dragon was introduced for every Ninja. However, they soon migrated to the Spirit Coves and combined into one four-headed Ultra Dragon. This dragon was soon used by the Green Ninja. Ninjago later introduced the Golden Dragon, an ancient fighting animal given to Lloyd, passed down by the First Spinjitzu Master; the MechDragon, a cybernetic creature built by the Digital Overlord to capture the Golden Ninja; the Titanium Dragon, an elemental dragon belonging to the Titanium Ninja, Zane; and the Morro Dragon, a dragon belonging to Morro. Every Dragon's head (except for the MechDragon, Titanium Dragon, Master Wu Dragon and Morro Dragon) launches a Dragon Sphere, which is used in battle to knock down enemies.
