Michael "Mike" Jones (born June 13, 1962) is an American professional wrestler, known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation as Virgil, Ted DiBiase's personal assistant, and in World Championship Wrestling under the ring names Vincent, Shane and Curly Bill .

Professional wrestling career

Championship Wrestling Association (1985–1987)

After a standout amateur career, Jones started wrestling professionally as Soul Train Jones in the Championship Wrestling Association based in Memphis, Tennessee in 1985. He feuded with Chick Donovan and Big Bubba. He also made appearances in ICW with the Soul Train Jones gimmick.

World Wrestling Federation (1986–1994)

Moving to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), he first appeared as a jobber wrestling under the name Lucius Brown, losing a squash match to "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff in Salisbury, MD on September 17, 1986.

He then went on to debut in the summer of 1987 as Virgil, the bodyguard for "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. His stage name, thought up by Bobby Heenan, was meant as a jab against then-World Championship Wrestling (WCW) wrestler Virgil Runnels, better known as Dusty Rhodes. Virgil carried DiBiase's cash that he liked to flaunt and was the one who got beaten up while DiBiase ran away after a devious act against a Face (professio. He would also occasionally be used in a wrestling capacity against DiBiase's rivals to try and soften them up; he would lose matches to such names as Randy Savage, Hercules and Jake Roberts.

Shane (name)

Shane is a masculine given name. It is an Anglicised version of the Irish name Seán, which itself is cognate to the name John.Shane comes from the way the name Seán is pronounced in the Ulster dialect of the Irish language, as opposed to Shaun or Shawn.

Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1

The Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 is the debut album by the supergroup Traveling Wilburys and was recorded and released in 1988 to commercial success and critical acclaim. It has been certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Background

In early April 1988, George Harrison was in Los Angeles and needed to record a B-side for a European 12-inch single. Jeff Lynne was also in Los Angeles writing and producing some tracks for Roy Orbison on his album "Mystery Girl" (which would see release after Orbison's death), as well as Tom Petty’s first solo album. While having dinner with Lynne and Orbison, Harrison related how he needed to record a new track and wanted to do it the next day. Harrison asked if Lynne would help, and Orbison offered his old friend his hand as well, seeing how fun it would be. Needing a studio on short notice, Harrison suggested they call Bob Dylan, who had a home studio. Dylan gladly let the group use his studio; and not wanting to intrude, Dylan asked kindly to join. After dinner, George stopped by Petty’s house to pick up a guitar of his, and invited Petty along too. Gathering at Dylan’s Malibu home the following day, they wrote and recorded the song "Handle With Care" in five hours, with all five sharing the vocals.

Maxine (wrestler)

Karlee Perez (born April 19, 1986) is an American actress, model, professional wrestler and valet, best known for her appearances with the professional wrestling promotion WWE under the ring name Maxine between 2009 and 2012. She is currently working for Lucha Underground under the ring name Catrina.

Early life

Perez was born in Tampa, Florida, and is of Spanish, Cuban, Italian, Hawaiian, Irish, English, and Chinese ancestry. She majored in criminology at college and worked in a state's attorney office upon graduating.

Florida Championship Wrestling (2009–2012)

In 2009, Perez signed a contract with the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). She was assigned to their then-developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where she made her debut July that year under the ring name The Candy Girl, in a Divas handicap tag team match, where she teamed with Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendes to defeat Tiffany and Angela. Her name was changed to Liviana in October, and she became the manager of Sweet Papi Sanchez. She competed in an 8-Diva tournament to determine the inaugural FCW Divas Champion, but was eliminated by Naomi Night in the first round.
