This is a video from my recent holiday to Tenerife, we had booked with Jet2 holidays and were scheduled to travel on a Jet2 holiday's aircraft but the aircraft was changed prior to our check-in to a normal Jet2.com 757. The flight time from Manchester Airport to Tenerife South Airport was approximately 4 hours. The aircraft operating this route was a Boeing 757-21B, Registration: G-LSAI. Filmed: 27/10/13

Jet2 is an airline I seem to miss out on quite a bit, being from southern England I don't very often get an opportunity to fly with them as all of their bases are in the North. However for this trip I spotted this flight, at a reasonable time and arriving in the UK still with enough time for me to make the last train home easily. So I did it. My first flight onboard a Jet2 737! And I have to say despite the slight delay, overall I was impressed. Lots of legroom onboard, always helps when you have the row the yourself as well. Flight wasn't too busy, a fair few empty seats dotted around which meant people could spread out a little more, always good. The flight was late because the inbound flight from Manchester had a missed approach during its arrival in Madeira and then was holding for quite some time before approaching again. However a good tailwind meant we did manage to make up some lost time on the way. A typical runway 05 departure from Funchal, a right turn immediately once airborne to avoid the hillside ahead. Our routing took us straight up the Atlantic towards Ireland, some great views of the coastline before descent into a very grey, overcast Manchester. My first arrival at Manchester on RWY05R, then a long taxi back across towards the terminal. Over all a great flight, quite nice to mix it up a bit and fly with a different airline back into a different airport.

10/1/2015: 4 years on Youtube anniversary! Thanks for all your support over the 4 years, it's been an incredible journey and I genuinely can't thank you enough, I couldn't ask for a better audience.
Hi guys, it's been a while since I uploaded so apologies. The reason for this is of course schoolwork and revision. So when I did finally get round to editing a video I thought I should at least make it another long one. You seem to like East Midlands Airport videos so I wanted to make one of those. I looked through my list of 'possible uploads' and decided to make this one. Here is a collection of all my Jet2 Holidays clips filmed during my stay there from the 30th May to the 31st May 2013.
This video begins with a shot of the famous factory chimneys north-east of the airport. The first plane to make an appearance is a Boeing 737-300 landing on runway 27. Then we will see it taxying right past us close, before taking off. After that comes the 757-200 arriving in the sunshine. A quick cut fast forwards us to its taxi and departure. Another 757-200 taxies out and departs shortly after, *listen to the spool up!* The video concludes with a 737-300 dusk arrival.
Jet2.com Limited is a British low-cost airline based at Leeds Bradford Airport, England. It operates services from seven UK bases and 1 Spanish base to 65 destinations. The airline also offers contract charter and air cargo services - hence why you saw it in my Cargo at EMA video! Unlike other low-cost carriers, Jet2 tickets can be booked via travel agents[6] as well as over the internet and by telephone. The airline carried 600,000 passengers in 2003, its first year of operation, and 3.8 million passengers on over 34,000 flights in 2007. The Dart Group also has a division, Jet2holidays.com, offering package holidays which combine hotel accommodation and transfers with Jet2 flights.
Although we are already well in to January, this is my first upload of the New (New, ish) Year! So Happy 2015 all! Your support through 2014 was incredible and humbling. If 2015 is anything like 2014 you guys will make me so happy. Peace:)

Mark, accompanied by a ‘Red Team’ hit squad, marked the occasion with a MAJOR FREE FLIGHTS giveaway at Liverpool Street Station and on the Stansted Express. Thousands of commuters were surprised with a free trip to one of Jet2.com’s and Jet2holidays’ 21 European sun destinations which are now on sale from his local airport for summer 2017.

Jet2 is an airline I seem to miss out on quite a bit, being from southern England I don't very often get an opportunity to fly with them as all of their bases are in the North. However for this trip I spotted this flight, at a reasonable time and arriving in the UK still with enough time for me to make the last train home easily. So I did it. My first flight onboard a Jet2 737! And I have to say despite the slight delay, overall I was impressed. Lots of legroom onboard, always helps when you have the row the yourself as well. Flight wasn't too busy, a fair few empty seats dotted around which meant people could spread out a little more, always good. The flight was late because the inbound flight from Manchester had a missed approach during its arrival in Madeira and then was holding for quite some time before approaching again. However a good tailwind meant we did manage to make up some lost time on the way. A typical runway 05 departure from Funchal, a right turn immediately once airborne to avoid the hillside ahead. Our routing took us straight up the Atlantic towards Ireland, some great views of the coastline before descent into a very grey, overcast Manchester. My first arrival at Manchester on RWY05R, then a long taxi back across towards the terminal. Over all a great flight, quite nice to mix it up a bit and fly with a different airline back into a different airport.

10/1/2015: 4 years on Youtube anniversary! Thanks for all your support over the 4 years, it's been an incredible journey and I genuinely can't thank you enough, I couldn't ask for a better audience.
Hi guys, it's been a while since I uploaded so apologies. The reason for this is of course schoolwork and revision. So when I did finally get round to editing a video I thought I should at least make it another long one. You seem to like East Midlands Airport videos so I wanted to make one of those. I looked through my list of 'possible uploads' and decided to make this one. Here is a collection of all my Jet2 Holidays clips filmed during my stay there from the 30th May to the 31st May 2013.
This video begins with a shot of the famous factory chimneys north-east of the airport. The first plane to make an appearance is a Boeing 737-300 landing on runway 27. Then we will see it taxying right past us close, before taking off. After that comes the 757-200 arriving in the sunshine. A quick cut fast forwards us to its taxi and departure. Another 757-200 taxies out and departs shortly after, *listen to the spool up!* The video concludes with a 737-300 dusk arrival.
Jet2.com Limited is a British low-cost airline based at Leeds Bradford Airport, England. It operates services from seven UK bases and 1 Spanish base to 65 destinations. The airline also offers contract charter and air cargo services - hence why you saw it in my Cargo at EMA video! Unlike other low-cost carriers, Jet2 tickets can be booked via travel agents[6] as well as over the internet and by telephone. The airline carried 600,000 passengers in 2003, its first year of operation, and 3.8 million passengers on over 34,000 flights in 2007. The Dart Group also has a division, Jet2holidays.com, offering package holidays which combine hotel accommodation and transfers with Jet2 flights.
Although we are already well in to January, this is my first upload of the New (New, ish) Year! So Happy 2015 all! Your support through 2014 was incredible and humbling. If 2015 is anything like 2014 you guys will make me so happy. Peace:)
