Novitec Rosso, located in Stetten Germany, is a tuner of Ferrari vehicles. The company is a branch of the larger Novitec tuning company that specializes is modifications for other Italian marques such as Fiat and Alfa Romeo. In 2007 Novitec also spawned Novitec Tridente, an arm of the business dedicated to Maserati tuning.
Novitec prides itself not in flashy cosmetic modifications but in performance oriented parts that improve the way Ferraris brake, handle and accelerate. In 2004 Novitec unveiled their first project: a twin-supercharged Ferrari 360 which made 565 hp (421 kW), up significantly from the stock number of 400 hp (298 kW).
The second Novitec Rosso project was to twin-supercharge the Ferrari F430. Novitec has released several versions of the car with an original 636 hp (474 kW) model and later with an upgraded 707 hp (527 kW) model. In an article in the Nov/Dec issue of Modified Luxury & Exotics magazine the author said after driving the car that, "It’s a humbling experience to drive a car that can outperform your own desires, but it’s not without its rewards."
The Ferrari 488 (Tipo F142M) is a mid-engined sports car produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari, introduced in 2015 to replace the previous 458.
It is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8, smaller in displacement and higher in output than the naturally aspirated engine it supersedes.
The 488 GTB is powered by a 3,902 cc (238 cu in) all-aluminium dry sump unit of the Ferrari F154 engine family. Turbocharged with two parallel ball-bearing twin-scroll turbochargers supplied by IHI and two air-to-air intercoolers, the compressor wheels are made of low-density TiAl alloy often used in jet engines to reduce inertia and resist high temperatures within the turbocharger. The engine produces 670 PS (493 kW; 661 hp) at 8,000 rpm and 760 N·m (561 lb·ft) of torque at 3,000 rpm. This results in a specific power output of 126.3 kW (171.7 PS; 169.4 hp) per litre and specific torque output of 194.8 N·m (144 lbf·ft) per litre, both records for a Ferrari car.
The Ferrari F12berlinetta (also unofficially referred to as the F12 Berlinetta or the F12) is a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer produced by Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. The F12berlinetta, debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, replaces the 599 series grand tourers. The naturally aspirated 6.3 litre Ferrari V12 engine in the F12berlinetta has won the International Engine of the Year Awards 2013 in the Best Performance category and Best Engine above 4.0 litres. The F12berlinetta was named "The Supercar of the Year 2012" by car magazine Top Gear.
In 2014 it was awarded the XXIII Premio Compasso d'oro ADI. Accepting the award was Ferrari’s Senior Vice President of Design, Flavio Manzoni.
The F12berlinetta uses a 6,262 cc (382 cu in), naturally aspirated 65° V12 engine of the Ferrari F140 engine family. Engine displacement is shared with the FF, but the F140 FC version installed on the F12 produces 740 PS (544 kW; 730 hp) at 8250 rpm and 690 N·m (509 lb·ft) of torque at 6000 rpm, making it the most powerful Ferrari roadcar to date, only surpassed by LaFerrari. This allows the F12berlinetta to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in an officially reported 3.1 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h (120 mph) in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
Ferrari S.p.A. is an Italian luxury sports car manufacturer based in Maranello. Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939 as Auto Avio Costruzioni, the company built its first car in 1940. However, the company's inception as an auto manufacturer is usually recognized in 1947 when the first Ferrari-badged car was completed.
Ferrari is the world's most powerful brand according to Brand Finance. In May 2012 the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO became the most expensive car in history, selling in a private transaction for $38,115,000 to American communications magnate Craig McCaw.
Fiat S.p.A. acquired 50% of Ferrari in 1969 and expanded its stake to 90% in 1988. In October 2014 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced its intentions to separate Ferrari from FCA; as of the announcement FCA owned 90% of Ferrari. The separation began in October 2015 with a restructuring that established Ferrari N.V. as the new holding company of the Ferrari group and the subsequent sale by FCA of a 10% of the shares in an IPO and concurrent listing of common shares on the New York Stock Exchange. Through the remainings steps of the separation, FCA's interest in Ferrari's business was distributed to shareholders of FCA, with a 10% continuing to be owned by Piero Ferrari. The spin-off was completed on January 3, 2016.
