Sharing sweets and spreading smiles, students across the city celebrated their success in class XII exam, the results of which were declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday.Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all its affiliated schools to restrict the number of textbooks students carry to the school in an effort to reduce the weight of school bags.MNV Sesha Sai Teja, class 12 student of KCP Siddhartha Adarsh Residential Public School, emerged as the district topper in the CBSE results which were announced on Saturday.Students of CBSE schools in the city put up a stunning show in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination, results of which were out on Saturday.The board will announce the results for all its regions at 12 noon. Starting this year, CBSE will also provide class 12 digital marksheets in DigiLocker. CBSE declared class XII result on Monday
The special summer classes for CBSE's std IX, X and XII have started from today in Nagpur city. This 15-day session is held to give students a heads up on the syllabus they are going to tackle in the coming academic session. Considering that two of the classes will have board exams, this short teaching session is actually very crucial for students. While almost every school shall end on April 30, some stretch it to first week of May.

The number of chances for Compartment for CBSE Class XII has been reduced to three for candidates appearing with effect from 2013 examination. However, for candidates who have appeared for the 2012 examination and placed in the category compartment shall get upto five chances.
