Full Moon Fever

Full Moon Fever is the first solo album by Tom Petty, though it features contributions from members of his backing band the Heartbreakers, notably Mike Campbell, along with Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and George Harrison of the Traveling Wilburys. The record shows Petty exploring his musical roots with nods to his influences. The songwriting is mainly collaborations between Petty and Lynne, who was also a producer on the album. The album became a commercial and critical success peaking at number three on the US Billboard 200 and being certified 5× platinum in the United States and 6× platinum in Canada.

Background and recording

Having earlier in the year finished a Heartbreakers tour behind the album Let Me Up (I've Had Enough), Petty decided to record a solo album without the Heartbreakers (similar to the arrangement between Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band at the time). This stirred some controversy among members of the Heartbreakers, although all but drummer Stan Lynch contributed to the album. Benmont Tench and Howie Epstein initially weren't happy about playing the Full Moon Fever songs live during Heartbreakers concerts. Stan Lynch hated playing them right up until his departure from the band, saying it made him feel like he was in a cover band.

Joe Casey

Joe Casey is an American comic book writer. He has worked on titles such as Wildcats 3.0, Uncanny X-Men, The Intimates, Adventures of Superman, and G.I. Joe: America's Elite among others. As part of the comics creator group Man of Action Studios, Casey is one of the creators of the animated series Ben 10.

Career

Starting his professional writing career at Marvel Comics, Casey wrote for several titles, including Cable, The Incredible Hulk and Uncanny X-Men.

Casey wrote many titles for Wildstorm, like the highly experimental Automatic Kafka with artist Ashley Wood. Casey took over Wildcats and gave the series a new direction, moving it from the superhero genre to incorporate elements of corporate espionage. He wrote a Mister Majestic series with artist Ed McGuiness, after which they subsequently collaborated on Adventures of Superman, which Casey wrote for three years.

Casey wrote 2005's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes limited series and its sequel for Marvel Comics. Since 2001 Casey has produced creator-owned work through Image Comics, including Gødland, Codeflesh, Nixon's Pals, Charlatan Ball, Doc Bizarre, M.D., Officer Downe. He also wrote a revamp of the original Youngblood miniseries by Rob Liefeld, called Maximum Youngblood. As well as discussing the ending of Gødland, Charlatan Ball and Nixon's Pals, he mentioned that Codeflesh would be returning.

Goosebumps Series 2000

Goosebumps Series 2000 is a spin-off of the original Goosebumps series by R. L. Stine. The cover design of the Series 2000 books was different from the original books, though the cover art was again by Tim Jacobus. There was no back tagline anymore, and the paragraphs at the back were excerpts from the book rather than a short summary of the story as the original books' back covers had. There was another difference with back covers too, as the "Reader Beware, You're In For A Scare!" of the original series was changed to "2000 Times The Scares!" and "Welcome to the new millennium of fear".

The main subject of the covers, the title, the umbrella title, and R. L. Stine were printed in raised print, something only Goosebumps Horrorland has other than Series 2000.

Action film

Action film is a film genre in which one or more heroes are thrust into a series of challenges that typically include physical feats, extended fight scenes, violence, and frantic chases. Action films tend to feature a resourceful character struggling against incredible odds, which include life-threatening situations, a villain, or a pursuit which generally concludes in victory for the hero.

Advancements in CGI have made it cheaper and easier to create action sequences and other visual effects that required the efforts of professional stunt crews in the past. However, reactions to action films containing significant amounts of CGI have been mixed as films that use computer animations to create unrealistic, highly unbelievable events are often met with criticism. While action has long been a recurring component in films, the "action film" genre began to develop in the 1970s along with the increase of stunts and special effects. The genre is closely associated with the thriller and adventure film genres, and it may also contain elements of spy fiction and espionage.
