A Red Cliffs man has appeared in court facing two charges in relation to a crash on the Calder Highway at Ravenswood late on Monday night.

Kim Anthony Radalj, 57, has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and negligently causing serious injury.

He appeared at a brief filing hearing in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Radalj was released on bail and will re-appear in court on September 28.

Police allege Radalj was the driver of a car which rolled into a tree, causing serious head injuries to the passenger, a 57-year-old Mildura man. The crash occurred at 11.50pm.

He was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Radalj was taken to Bendigo Health in a stable condition.
