Sports Focus is planning to extend an initiative to re-engage women in sport following a successful first session.

Project co-ordinator Natalie Lake said attendees at last Thursday’s Miss Me-time activity were keen for the free four-part series to continue.

The first activity was revealed to be gymnastics.

Ms Lake said Emma Carmody from Palmer’s Gym took the women through a range of achievable activities.

“Women of all ages attended, with children as young as four months also present,” Ms Lake said.

Participants will meet for the second session at 9.30am on Thursday in the carpark of 140 Victoria Street, Eaglehawk.

"Although we cannot give away the activity, we can tell you that it will be indoors, full of giggles, jiggles and wiggles, and there will be free tea and coffee afterwards,” Ms Lake said.

Miss Me-time is for women, with children welcome.

Activities go for up to an hour and attendees are welcome to leave at any time.

Further information is on the Miss Me-time Facebook page.
