When mobster Charley Radick learns that he has leukemia and only a short time to live, he decides the time has come to visit his daughter, Margaret, now a young woman. When Charley had gone to prison for a 10 year stretch, he had left her with the Wilsons but when he got out, he decided to concentrate on moving up in the rackets and left the girl with them. When he visits the Wilsons however, he's told that Margaret left some three years before. When Eliot Ness learns that Radick is dying, he asks him to come clean and give him the organization's books. Radick makes a deal: if Ness can locate his daughter, he will give him the information he wants. Ness then turns to Lt. Agatha Stewart of the Missing Persons Bureau for help.

Prospectors John Larch, Don McKinnon and Richard Hughes discovered gold in the Hemlo camp in the early 1980s, starting a staking rush not seen in Canada since the Klondike gold rush of the late 19th century. Two companies, Golden Sceptre and Goliath Resources, secured rights to a large land package in the area, and were subsequently acquired by Noranda.
Noranda permitted and built the Golden Giant mine in less than two years. With its first pour in April, 1985, the Golden Giant was the first mine in the camp to ship.

John Larch (October 4, 1914 – October 16, 2005) was an American film and television actor.
After his lead role in the radio serial Captain Starr of Space (1953–54), John Larch entered films in 1954. He usually appeared in westerns (How The West Was Won) and action films, including Miracle of the White Stallions as General George S. Patton Jr. (1963), Collision Course: Truman vs. MacArthur as General Omar Bradley (1976), replacing James Gregory as Mac in the Matt Helm movie The Wrecking Crew (1969) starring Dean Martin, Sharon Tate and Elke Sommer. Larch, an old friend of Clint Eastwood, appeared in Eastwood films, including Dirty Harry (1971) and Play Misty for Me (1971).
He also appeared on a number of television programs, including Naked City (three episodes), Route 66 (three episodes), The Fugitive (two episodes), The Invaders, The Restless Gun (four episodes), Gunsmoke (seven episodes), The Virginian (four episodes), Bonanza, Hawaii Five-0, Mission Impossible (two episodes), The Troubleshooters, Bus Stop, Laramie, The Law and Mr. Jones, The Rifleman, and possibly most famously as Bill Mumy's father in The Twilight Zone episode "It's a Good Life" in 1961. He also appeared in two other The Twilight Zone episodes, playing a psychiatrist in "Perchance to Dream" and the sheriff in "Dust".

Monty Python (sometimes known as The Pythons) was a British surreal comedy group who created Monty Python's Flying Circus, a British television comedy sketch show that first aired on the BBC on 5 October 1969. Forty-five episodes were made over four series. The Python phenomenon developed from the television series into something larger in scope and impact, spawning touring stage shows, films, numerous albums, several books and a stage musical as well as launching the members to individual stardom. The group's influence on comedy has been compared to The Beatles' influence on music.
The television series, broadcast by the BBC from 1969 to 1974, was conceived, written and performed by members Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin. Loosely structured as a sketch show, but with an innovative stream-of-consciousness approach (aided by Gilliam's animation), it pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in style and content. A self-contained comedy team responsible for both writing and performing their work, the Pythons' creative control allowed them to experiment with form and content, discarding rules of television comedy. Their influence on British comedy has been apparent for years, while in North America it has coloured the work of cult performers from the early editions of Saturday Night Live through to more recent absurdist trends in television comedy. "Pythonesque" has entered the English lexicon as a result.

Prospectors John Larch, Don McKinnon and Richard Hughes discovered gold in the Hemlo camp in the early 1980s, starting a staking rush not seen in Canada since the Klondike gold rush of the late 19th century. Two companies, Golden Sceptre and Goliath Resources, secured rights to a large land package in the area, and were subsequently acquired by Noranda.
Noranda permitted and built the Golden Giant mine in less than two years. With its first pour in April, 1985, the Golden Giant was the first mine in the camp to ship.
Peak production occurred in the early 1990s, approaching 500,000 oz per year. During its 21-year life, the mine produced over 6 million ounces of gold. (from Wikipedia)

The Birth Of A Wooden House
This is a documentary movie uncovering the process of building a wooden house with hand tools from local materials starting from forest till the living space. "Our house has been built using timber we felled and extracted from our own forest. We built it using mostly hand tools and human energy. It is timber frame construction with log walls. The main construction holds together with wood joints - there are no nails or screws used. Walls are insulated with pine and larch shavings. Overall wall thickness is 50 centimeters. Charles Keating is probably best remembered as an overzealous and nearly rabid campaigner against pornography in the 50s and 60s, including leadership on the 1969 President's Commission on Obscenity and Pornography. Later, as a corrupt and criminal banker in the 80s, he ran the American Continental Corporation and the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which so exploited the banking deregulations under Reagan that it led to the complete collapse of the Savings and Loan industry, not to mention investigations of the "Keating Five," which included the current Senator John McCain.
Tom Harmon, the narrator of the film, was married to actress Elyse Knox whose career include being a WWII pin up girl, which landed her similar roles in quite a few films. Considered a "lost film" as of early 2016, a faded 16mm print was discovered in the Moving Image collection at the Oregon Historical Society in 2015. Created in 1962 the film was recently ranked #14 in Gambit Magazine’s list of 15 Films Lost to Time.
An anti-pornography and pro censorship film running 27 minutes in length, Pages of Death was produced by the Hour of St. Francis radio program and distributed by the Citizens for Decent Literature (Cincinnati, Ohio) which was affiliated with the Roman Catholic anti-pornography campaigner, Charles Keating.
Charles Keating is probably best remembered as an overzealous and nearly rabid campaigner against pornography in the 50s and 60s, including leadership on the 1969 President's Commission on Obscenity and Pornography. Later, as a corrupt and criminal banker in the 80s, he ran the American Continental Corporation and the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which so exploited the banking deregulations under Reagan that it led to the complete collapse of the Savings and Loan industry, not to mention investigations of the "Keating Five," which included the current Senator John McCain.
Tom Harmon, the narrator of the film, was married to actress Elyse Knox whose career include being a WWII pin up girl, which landed her similar roles in quite a few films. "Our house has been built using timber we felled and extracted from our own forest. We built it using mostly hand tools and human energy. It is timber frame construction with log walls.
The main construction holds together with wood joints - there are no nails or screws used.
Walls are insulated with pine and larch shavings. Overall wall thickness is 50 centimeters.
The frame posts, sills, top beams and final cladding boards are preserved using Japanese traditional wood preservation technique - Shou Sugi Ban 焼杉板 ,
Roofing is 3 layer white oak shingles layed in two directional technique. Roof is insulated with wood fibre wool and has natural clay and lime plaster finish on the interior walls.

My review of The Amityville Horror(1979) starring James Brolin, Margot Kidder, Rod Steiger, Don Stroud, Murray Hamilton, John Larch, Michael Sacks, and Helen Shaver.
(James Tolkan is not in this movie..I just mistook Baxter Harris for him..They look a lot alike though..)

Jay Anson who wrote the book "The Amityville Horror" actually wrote out a screenplay for this film only for the producers to turn it down. Eventually they found Sandor Stern and liked his take on it so he was hired for the job.
James Brolin was hesitant when he was first offered the role of George Lutz. He was told that there was no script and that he must obtain a copy of Jay Anson's novel and read it as soon as possible. Brolin started the book one evening at seven o'clock and was still reading at two o'clock in the morning. He had hung a pair of his pants up in the room earlier and at a really "tense" part in the book, the pants fell down from wherever they had been hanging. Brolin jumped out of his chair, nearly crashing his head into the ceiling. It was then that Brolin said, "There's something to this story." He agreed to do the movie.
Even though James Brolin became friendly with George Lutz and his children, he was highly doubtful of their story.
Due to all the unwanted fame the book and film had brought upon the real house in Amityville, the current owners have replaced the "evil eyes" windows with normal rectangle-shaped windows.
At the time of its release the film was one of the highest grossing independent films of all time and American International Pictures' biggest hit.
While shooting the scene where Kathy is startled by the red eyes in the window, director Stuart Rosenberg wasn't impressed by Margot Kidder's reaction. According to Kidder, Rosenberg then tried to hold up a "a day-glo orange stuffed velour pig with glass eyes" in an attempt to startle Kidder. She said the result was only hysterical laughter, not fear.
Stars James Brolin and Margot Kidder visited the real Amityville house as part of a publicity junket.
Like James Brolin, star Margot Kidder also went on record saying she didn't believe the Amityville story either.
In hopes of creating more publicity for the film the studio would concoct stories of "weird" occurrences on the set of the film.
Honey was rubbed on Rod Steiger's head to draw the flies to him.
James Brolin's brother was actually used for the image of the bearded man seen appearing from the 'red room' in the cellar. The studio wanted someone who bore a close resemblance to James Brolin and discovered he had a brother who shared a strong resemblance to the star. Brolin's brother was applied with a fake beard for the bit part.
The film was originally planned to be a made-for-TV production for the CBS network, until executive producer Sam Arkoff bought the rights after reading Jay Anson's book in one sitting.
In 1979, attorney William Weber (Ronald DeFeo's defense attorney) filed a lawsuit against George and Kathy Lutz, charging them with fraud and breach of contract. He alleged that they reneged on an agreement to collaborate with Weber on the book (and subsequent movie). In an interview with the Associated Press, Weber admitted that he and the Lutzes had concocted the horror story scam "...over many bottles of wine."
The first major write-up of the alleged events was in "Good Housekeeping" magazine. The article came out before Jay Anson's "The Amityville Horror". This account contradicts the book on a number of points.
