Some visiting Americans met their match when they challenged a Kwinana kebab shop server to a wrestling match to win some free falafels.

A rather lightweight customer convinced the Kebabbque server in his 40s to take part in the bout with the promise of a free meal on the line.

Challenge accepted, the American in his early 20s cheerfully confided to the camera the solidly-built shop owner had vowed to "break his leg".

The pair faced off while a centre security guard grabbed a good vantage point for the competition.

"Believe there's going to be a wrestling match," he said.

The two then come together in a classic lock position and then briefly struggled for supremacy to the amazement of shoppers

Strength and experience won the day with the challenger eventually tapping out to concede defeat.

"It was a good one, man, I haven't done that sport for about 10 years now," the shop server said.

"I'm an old man, mate."

The combatants agreed on a return bout should the Americans return after further travels in Australia.

A video that was also posted on YouTube praised the server for being a good sport.

"Thank you to the lovely people at the Kebabbque in Kwinana, Perth. If you visit the Kebabbque make sure to say hi. Their falafels are to die for."

Or perhaps just suffering the discomfort of an arm lock would do.
