PSA, PsA, Psa, or psa may refer to:
An engine or motor is a machine designed to convert one form of energy into mechanical energy.Heat engines, including internal combustion engines and external combustion engines (such as steam engines), burn a fuel to create heat, which then creates a force. Electric motors convert electrical energy into mechanical motion; pneumatic motors use compressed air and others—such as clockwork motors in wind-up toys—use elastic energy. In biological systems, molecular motors, like myosins in muscles, use chemical energy to create forces and eventually motion.
The word "engine" derives from Old French engin, from the Latin ingenium–the root of the word ingenious. Pre-industrial weapons of war, such as catapults, trebuchets and battering rams, were called "siege engines", and knowledge of how to construct them was often treated as a military secret. The word "gin", as in "cotton gin", is short for "engine". Most mechanical devices invented during the industrial revolution were described as engines—the steam engine being a notable example.
The Peugeot 406 is a large family car made by the French automaker Peugeot from 1995 to 2004. Available in saloon, estate and coupé bodystyles with a choice of petrol or turbodiesel engines, the 406 replaced the Peugeot 405 in Peugeot's lineup, and was itself replaced by the Peugeot 407. It used the same platform as the Citroën Xantia, though without that car's sophisticated hydropneumatic suspension system.
The styling of the 406 is heavily influenced by its predecessor, the 405, which began to be phased out from the 406's launch in September 1995, and eventually finished production in Europe in 1997, when the last estate models were discontinued. United Kingdom sales of the 406 began in February 1996.
Initially, the car was available with 1.8 L and 2.0 L petrol and 1.9 L turbodiesel engines, followed by a turbocharged 2.0 petrol, 3.0 (2946cc) V6 petrol, and 110 bhp 2.1 L turbodiesel. The diesel versions were very popular, and the 406 became one of Europe's best-selling diesel-powered cars.
A mass (air) flow sensor (MAF) is used to find out the mass flowrate of air entering a fuel-injected internal combustion engine.
The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density as it expands and contracts with temperature and pressure. In automotive applications, air density varies with the ambient temperature, altitude and the use of forced induction, which means that mass flow sensors are more appropriate than volumetric flow sensors for determining the quantity of intake air in each cylinder. (See stoichiometry and ideal gas law.)
There are two common types of mass airflow sensors in use on automotive engines. These are the vane meter and the hot wire. Neither design employs technology that measures air mass directly. However, with additional sensors and inputs, an engine's ECU can determine the mass flowrate of intake air.
Both approaches are used almost exclusively on electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines. Both sensor designs output a 0.0–5.0 volt or a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal that is proportional to the air mass flow rate, and both sensors have an intake air temperature (IAT) sensor incorporated into their housings for most post OBDII vehicles. Vehicles prior to 1996 could have MAF without an IAT. An example is 1994 Infiniti Q45.
Peugeot (US /puːˈʒoʊ/; UK /ˈpɜːrʒoʊ/; French pronunciation: [pøʒo]) is a French cars brand, part of PSA Peugeot Citroën.
The family business that preceded the current Peugeot company was founded in 1810, and manufactured coffee mills and bicycles. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot built the company's first car, an unreliable steam tricycle, in collaboration with Leon Serpollet in 1889; this was followed in 1890 by an internal combustion car with a Panhard-Daimler engine. Due to family discord, Armand Peugeot in 1896 founded the Société des Automobiles Peugeot.
The Peugeot company and family are originally from Sochaux, France. Peugeot retains a large manufacturing plant and Peugeot museum there. In February 2014, the shareholders agreed to a recapitalisation plan, in which Dongfeng Motors and the French government each bought a 14% stake in the company.
Peugeot has received many international awards for its vehicles, including four European Car of the Year awards. In 2013 and 2014, Peugeot ranked the second lowest for average CO2 emissions among generalist brands in Europe, the Renault car maker group being ranked first, with 114.9g CO2/km. Peugeot is known as a very reliable brand, citing how its 1950s and 1960s models are still running in Africa and Cuba in the 2010s, where Peugeot is called "the lion".

The PSA Group sells a variety of diesel automobile engines with the HDi designation. Earlier versions were exclusive to Peugeot and Citroën. In 1998, PSA entered into a joint venture with the Ford Motor Company to produce a range of new diesel engines. The joint venture makes identical engines which are fitted to a variety of vehicles from a range of car manufacturers. The engines are assembled in production plants in the cities of Trémery and Douvrin for PSA in France, at the Ford Dagenham plant in the UK, and the Ford-owned Volvo Engine Plant in Skövde Sweden. Half of the group's vehicles are fitted with an HDi diesel engine: in 2007 this amounted to approximately 1.8 million vehicles. This video is targeted to blind users. Changing a timing belt on a peugeot 406 2.0 HDi 110 DW10ATED The car has around 122,000 miles and apparently it had a new belt put on at 79,000 miles but there was no receipts so to be sure i changed it. It is quite an involved job, a lot of things to do and it needs to be done right otherwise it can wreck the cars engine. I would recommend reading the Haynes Manual and this, and reading them a number of times to fully understand what is involved: http://www.406oc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t;=8229#p79298 The tensioning procedure i did not show completely in the video as its hard to show on camera and its best if you read the guide to see how its done. I also replaced the water pump as its good to do when your in there, the crankshaft oil seal was leaking hence all the oil/sludge in the ar...

I had a problem on the 406 where it felt short of power, but it was not in limp mode. In first gear it felt fine, but between 2nd and 5th the turbo was late in kicking in, it took until 3000 rpm until it kicked in, which in real world driving conditions meant an awfully long lag period then a sudden burst of power making it not safe for pulling out of junctions/roundabouts or overtaking. Ive read on the internet in the past the symptoms of a bad MAF sensor, i couldn't see any faults come up on the PP2000 machine and unplugging the MAF sensor quickly cured the problem and highlighted that the sensor was indeed the issue. Thankfully it wasn't anything mechanical. At first i attempted to clean the MAF sensor with a cleaner specifically designed for these sensors but it did not work, i didn'...
Changing the coolant on a 2002 Peugeot 406 HDi 110 with the 2.0 DW10ATED engine. The car was not overheating, or loosing water i was changing the coolant just as a routine service item, and while i was at it i changed the thermostat also. If there is any other things that could have been done differently please say so in the comments.
EW10J4 RFN engine in a Peugeot 807 makes whining noise. Timing belt supposedly changed ~1.5 year/20000 km ago.
