Shadowrun is a science fantasy tabletop role-playing game set in a near-future fictional universe in which cybernetics, magic and fantasy creatures co-exist. It combines genres of cyberpunk, urban fantasy and crime, with occasional elements of conspiracy fiction, horror and detective fiction. From its inception in 1989, Shadowrun has remained among the most popular role-playing games. It has spawned a vast franchise that includes a series of novels, a collectible card game, two miniature-based tabletop wargames, and multiple video games.
The title is taken from the game's main premise – that corporate espionage runs rampant in a near-future setting. A shadowrun – a successful data theft or physical break-in at a rival corporation or organization – is one of the main tools employed by both corporate rivals and underworld figures. Deckers (futuristic hackers) who can tap into an immersive, three-dimensional cyberspace are opposed by rival deckers and lethal, potentially brain-destroying AI called "Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics" – or "ice" for short – are protected by street fighters and/or mercenaries, often with cyborg implants (called cyberware), magicians, and other exotic figures, on such missions as they seek access, physical or remote, to the power structures of rival groups. Magic has also returned to the world after a series of dystopian plagues; dragons who can take human form have returned as well, and are commonly found in high positions of corporate power.
Hong Kong (香港; "Fragrant Harbour"), officially Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea. Hong Kong is known for its skyline and deep natural harbour. It has a land area of 1104 km2 and shares its northern border with Guangdong Province of Mainland China. With around 7.2 million inhabitants of various nationalities, Hong Kong is one of the world's most densely populated metropolises.
After the First Opium War (1839–42), Hong Kong became a British colony with the perpetual cession of Hong Kong Island, followed by Kowloon Peninsula in 1860 and a 99-year lease of the New Territories from 1898. Hong Kong remained under British control for about a century until the Second World War, when Japan occupied the colony from December 1941 to August 1945. After the Surrender of Japan, the British resumed control. In the 1980s, negotiations between the United Kingdom and the China resulted in the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration, which provided for the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong on 30 June 1997. The territory became a special administrative region of China with a high degree of autonomy on 1 July 1997 under the principle of one country, two systems. Disputes over the perceived misapplication of this principle have contributed to popular protests, including the 2014 Umbrella Revolution.

When the curtains open finally revealing horror
Hiding scenary smells like death
Everyone who's not breathing anymore wake up
Fingers of despots turn on the lights
From the dark clouds sounds trumpets
Everyone knows the last cycle is over
Blood and tears rain like an inexorable sentence
Skies are crossed by spider webs
Neon Canahan is take off to its profane owners
General dispair has the metropolis
The great Babylon falls one more time
The great Babylon falls one more time
(chorus)
This is the end of everything
There´s no escape even in the shadows
Shadowrun has just begun
Love is cooled down in each human heart
Desperated, everybody fornicates while cry
In a last try to reach a sparkle of pleasure
And prostate with their mouths on dry land
But from breasts of the nature doesn't
Burgeon anything else but sorrow
And they don't understand in this act
Hold in esteen the enthroned dark angel
Who was also humiliated under divine superb
(chorus)
Shadowrun (3x)
And they don't understand in this act
Hold in esteen the enthroned dark angel
Who was also humiliated under divine superb
(chorus)
