NY Waterway, or New York Waterway, is a private transportation company running ferry and bus service in the Port of New York and New Jersey and in the Hudson Valley. While operations and much marketing come under the NY Waterway logo, the company works with other private companies and in public-private partnership with agencies such as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New Jersey Transit, New York City Department of Transportation, and Metropolitan Transportation Authority, to provide service and maintain docking facilities. In 2009, the fleet included 33 boats, 15 of which are operated by the company for its associate Billybey Ferry.
NY Waterway uses ferry slips at four terminals in Manhattan as well as terminals and slips in Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, and Edgewater, all located along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, and at landings on the East River in Brooklyn and Long Island City. Commuter peak service is also provided on the Haverstraw–Ossining Ferry, Newburgh–Beacon Ferry, and to the Raritan Bayshore. Excursions and sightseeing trips include those to Yankee Stadium,Gateway National Recreation Area, and Governors Island.
Lincoln Harbor is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) located at Waterfront Terrace, north of 19th Street, in Weehawken, New Jersey. The station opened on September 7, 2004. There are two tracks and an island platform.
The station's name is taken from the area along the Hudson River to the east, which in turn was named for the Lincoln Tunnel to the west. It is situated in the shadow of the Lincoln Tunnel Approach and Helix, which crosses the bluff at the end of the Hudson Palisades and descends in a circle to the art deco toll plaza and portals. To the east lies commercial and residential district, partially redeveloped by Hartz Mountain Industries, which had acquired the Erie Railroad yards that had once predominated the area north of Weehawken Cove in 1981. In 2011, it announced that it would continue residential development with the construction of three rental apartment buildings adjacent to the station to open in 2013. Erie's Pier D and Piershed is a remnant of the rail era listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places in 1984, and is now used as office space. While most of the route is at grade, just north of the station a bridge carries trains over a busy intersection at the foot of King's Bluff.

NY Waterway Founder and President Arthur E. Imperatore, Sr. shares his wisdom on the value of time. People just do not realize how valuable their time is, not just monetarily, but personally. As said by Benjamin Franklin, "lost time is never found again." Mr. Imperatore wants people to understand that their time is just too valuable to waste, especially on a bad commute. There's all sorts of things to occupy wasted time, but that time is still gone forever; time that you can be spending on important things in life!

Started across from Alex bay near Boldt Castle went around the east side of Wellesley island into the "lake of the isles" (a lake in Wellesley island) then through the "rift". The two small bridges we go under are is the true international bridge, left side US / right side Canada from the view of this video. then proceeded to some islands right near Gananoque Canada. Canada has some awesome waterways. Sorry about the GoPro lens fogging near the end, if anybody has some idea's to stop that please chime in.

The Erie Canal Documentary - Geographic History. From the first days of the expansion of the British colonies from the coast of North America into the heartland of the continent, a recurring problem was that of transportation between the coastal ports and the interior. Close to the seacoast, rivers often provided adequate waterways, but the presence of the Appalachian Mountains, 400 miles (640 km) inland, presented a great challenge. Passengers and freight had to travel overland, a journey made more difficult by the rough condition of the roads. In 1800, it typically took 2.5 weeks to travel overland from New York to Cleveland, Ohio [460 miles (740 km)]; 4 weeks to Detroit [612 miles (985 km)]. My brother and I hooked up with Allan Green of Cooperstown Bass Guides to put a hurting on some smallmouths and largemouths in the birthplace of baseball. More specifically, the picturesque lake that laps at its shores.
Time to take the boat out for the 2014 season. Leaving Forest Bay heading north following the western shoreline on my way to the Mossy Point boat launch in Ticonderoga. Its a rare day that you can be on the lake and not see any other boats let alone hit any boat waves other than your own. it was a bit cool out, somewhere in the 30's. See you next spring LG........

Nick and I Kayaking down the western portion of the Peconic River in Calverton, New York on August 23rd, 2011. Starting about a half mile west of Peconic Lake or Forge Pond, according to the locals. We trek underneath the Long Island Expressway, around some tight, winding bends, and also underneath rt 24. Then we travel along a heavily weeded pond, underneath (and on top of) the Long Island Railroad. Encounter some swans and their young, travel through some pipes and a very surprising encounter with a moth and my mouth.
