Plot: Rahul Khanna works as a laborer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and has family living in India. He is unhappy at work, as he had opted for a desk job, but was swindled by unscrupulous employment agents. He daydreams of a better life, gets into an argument with his Supervisor and is fired. He finds work at 'Big B' restaurant, but seeks employment elsewhere, only to quit due to dissatisfaction. Then breathtakingly beautiful Neha enters his life and everything changes, he decides to start his own business as a recruitment agent, invests a lot of money getting visas, but eventually finds himself in trouble with the Police, who do not arrest him, but confiscate his visas, leaving him penniless and in debt. He finds employment and tries to stick to it, but again gets fired when he misbehaves with his Manager. He finds his niche in an organization run by Manmohan Kapoor initially as a Sales Representative, then is promoted to Branch Manager, finally is offered the partnership with a condition that he must marry Kapoor's daughter. When Rahul refuses, he gets fired, loses everything and is all set to start all over again, but through Neha's encouragement takes a loan, starts his own business, which takes off in a big way, making him one of Dubai's millionaires. When he introduces himself to Neha's dad, he gets a shock when he finds that it is none other than Manmohan himself, who is delighted to have him as his son-in-law. The wedding is arranged, and on the very day of the marriage, Rahul is arrested by the Police as drugs had been confiscated from his apartment. If found guilty, Rahul may well face the death penalty, or a long prison term, and thereafter be deported back to India - thus shattering his and Neha's dreams forever.

Plot: Rahul Tiwari (Aaftab Shivdasani) is in love with Sandhya Patil (Amisha Patel). For the last four years or so that is, and has not had the courage to tell her. He follows her everywhere; waits until the public bus she uses and then boards it. And as for Sandhya she is not even aware of Rahul leave alone his affection for her. One day Rahul finds out where Sandhya lives, and he also finds out that her father is Police Inspector Raj Patil "Raja"(Ashish Vidyarthi), a cruel, sadistic, drunk, and abusive man, whose wife Rachna (Neena Kulkarni) and daughter live in virtual fear, even when he is not around. Raj Patil has no respect for any human being, his superiors, his subordinates, nor members of the public to whom he is sworn to protect. Raj Patil finds out that Rahul is trying to enter the life of his daughter, he arrests him publicly, beats his up, and locks him in a cell in his Police Station. Rahul's brother Dr. Kamlakar Tiwari (Jackie Shroff) arranges to get Rahul out of the cell with the help of Raj Patil's superiors. Kamlakar hopes that this would have taught Rahul a lesson, but it has not, and Rahul contiues to be obsessed with Sandhya, even though Sandhya has clearly told him and his college friend, Neha (Anupama Verma) that she is only interested in pursuing her studies, and not interested in Rahul at all. Raj Patil tells his wife and daughter that they are to leave the city immediately, and move to Hyderbad with his sister. Rahul finds out and he too leaves the city and goes to Hyderabad to seek Sandhya, not knowing these events are going to change his life and way of thinking forever.

Plot: Amongst the communal riots that erupt in the city, Tara shelters a wayward Sakina from a crazed mob and a bond that blossoms into love is created. The two eventually get married and have a son. The happy family, now living in Amritsar, gets the shock of their lives when Sakina learns that her father (Amrish Puri), whom she previously believed died in the riots back in Amritsar, is still alive after seeing his picture in a tattered, old newspaper. Upon contacting him, Sakina's father, now the mayor of Lahore in Pakistan, arranges for his daughter to arrive in Lahore to see him. Sakina leaves for Lahore minus Tara and her son, and upon reaching the city, learns of her father's plans for her - plans that include forcing Sakina to forget about her family and start life anew in Pakistan. He also hires a man named Khairudin as a servant to look after his dad. Yusuf and Shabana are attracted to each other and intend to marry, much to the joy of Safdarjang and the granny. The wedding preparations are on, but there are a couple things Yusuf and his family do not know. One is that Shabana is the daughter of a Courtesan named Najma; and that Khairudin has secured employment in order to kill Yusuf.

In the process of locating Shabana, Firdaus not only loses the knife, but also puts his, Shabana's and Arsalan's lives in jeopardy.
