Catch a very interesting departure of trains moving in and out of AKOLA Railway Station. BSL WAM-4 hauled Maharashtra Express running late by 30 mins and on the time running Indore - Yesvantpur Express were given starters at the same time , hence both the trains started to depart parallel next to next. I just loved the way the WAM-4 picked up . Check out the Track alignment between the 2 Zones CR /Central Railways and SCR / South Central Railways that meet at Akola. Once we are done with the parallel run we get to see a Vertical crossing from below where a Petroleum Tanker train passes in opposite to the direction of Maharashtra Express , a well timed encounter.
Kacheguda ( Hyderabad ) - Akola line belongs to SCR Zone which is a non electrified Single line .
19301 INDORE - YESVANTPUR EXPRESS.
LOCO : RATLAM / RTM WDM3D 11492.
11039 KOLHAPUR - GONDIA , MAHARASHTRA EXPRESS.

Indian Railways (reporting mark IR) is an Indian state-owned railway company headquartered in New Delhi, India. It is owned and operated by the Government of India through the Ministry of Railways. Indian Railways has 114,500 kilometres (71,147 mi). of total track over a route of 65,000 kilometres (40,389 mi) and 7,500 stations. It has the world's fourth largest railway network after those of the United States, Russia and China. The railways carry over 30 million passengers and 2.8 million tons of freight daily.In 2011-2012 Railway earnt Rs 104278.79 crores which consists of Rs 69675.97 crores from freight and 28645.52 crores from passengers tickets.
Indian Railways is the world's fourth largest commercial or utility employer, by number of employees, with over 1.4 million employees. after Wal-Mart with 2.1 million employees, China National Petroleum Corporation with 1.61 million employees and State Grid Corporation of China with 1.53 million employees. As for rolling stock, IR owns over 229,381 Freight Wagons, 59,713 Passenger Coaches and 9,213 Locomotives.

He currently represents Haryana in Upper House of Indian Parliament, and is a 4th time member of the Lok Sabha from Rajapur Constituency of Maharashtra. He has also been Industry Minister , Minister of Fertilizers and Chemicals, Union Minister for Power (GOI) He is also a believer in people's participation in the working of the Ministries under him, especially through the involvement of NGOs and people's groups.Suresh Prabhu is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.He is Presently pursuing 2 PhD programs in climate change and economics in Germany and Mumbai. PARALLEL run and VERTICAL Crossing : Indian Railways AKOLA
Catch a very interesting departure of trains moving in and out of AKOLA Railway Station. BSL WAM-4 hauled Maharashtra Express running late by 30 mins and on the time running Indore - Yesvantpur Express were given starters at the same time , hence both the trains started to depart parallel next to next. I just loved the way the WAM-4 picked up . Check out the Track alignment between the 2 Zones CR /Central Railways and SCR / South Central Railways that meet at Akola. Once we are done with the parallel run we get to see a Vertical crossing from below where a Petroleum Tanker train passes in opposite to the direction of Maharashtra Express , a well timed encounter. Kacheguda ( Hyderabad ) - Akola line belongs to SCR Zone which is a non electrified Single line . 19301 INDORE - YESVANTPU... -

Suresh Prabu is an Indian Politician & current Railway Minister of India. Armed with education ,ability, understanding, high integrity, zero corruption. He currently represents Haryana in Upper House of Indian Parliament, and is a 4th time member of the Lok Sabha from Rajapur Constituency of Maharashtra. He has also been Industry Minister , Minister of Fertilizers and Chemicals, Union Minister for Power (GOI) He is also a believer in people's participation in the working of the Ministries under him, especially through the involvement of NGOs and people's groups.Suresh Prabhu is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.He is Presently pursuing 2 PhD programs in climate change and economics in Germany and Mumbai.

There is a strong emphasis on the emotional value of the railway system to its passengers and employees. You will be surprised by how antique and manually operated the system was in 1995.
This film is especially recommended for train buffs and those interested in travel to India. It gives a good feel of what it must be like to be there.
