Plot: Zola a poor boy in a remote village of Africa is devastated when his father leaves to seek employment in the mines of South Africa. The situation gets worse when his mother dies of AIDS. Plot: Ali, a possessed workaholic writer, is spiralling downwards into a permanent state of mental corrosion, in his ill-conceived insomniac efforts to complete his latest book of fiction.
