If we are going to have an effective strike, our members and leadership are going to have to do what works best for us, even if that means breaking the law by going on strike when WE are ready (not when SFUSD tells we have permission to do so) ... During the 1960s and 1970s, millions of public workers, normally law abiding citizens, protested, marched on school board meetings, and defiantly struck to win collective bargaining rights....
