Paul Barry (born 1952) is a British-born, Australian-based journalist, who has won many awards for his investigative reporting.
Barry started his journalistic career in London, as an economics correspondent for Investors Chronicle. In 1978 he joined the BBC as a reporter for The Money Programme, Newsnight, and then Panorama. In 1986 he moved to Australia and started work with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
From 1987 to 1994 he worked as an investigative reporter for the ABC's flagship current affairs program Four Corners specialising in economic matters, government departmental failures and corporate governance. A series of reports on disgraced businessman Alan Bond (and his company Bond Corporation) brought his work to national prominence in 1993. He also wrote the book The Rise and Fall of Alan Bond and a TV report on the Wittenoom industrial disaster, "Blue Death".
In 1995, Barry joined the Seven Network to present a short-lived news program The Times. He was later the presenter of the current affairs program Witness in 1997. He then returned to the ABC to host the Media Watch program in 2000. He was effectively sacked from this show by ABC head Jonathan Shier after a controversial interview with ABC Director Donald McDonald on the subject of government funding for the ABC. However, in August 2010, Barry acted as Media Watch's temporary host for three months while Jonathan Holmes took long-service leave.
The Four Corners is a region of the United States consisting of the southwestern corner of Colorado, southeastern corner of Utah, northeastern corner of Arizona, and northwestern corner of New Mexico. The Four Corners area is named after the quadripoint where the boundaries of the four states meet, where the Four Corners Monument is located. It is the only location in the United States where four states meet. Most of the Four Corners region belongs to semi-autonomous Native American nations, the largest of which is the Navajo Nation, followed by Hopi, Ute, and Zuni tribal reserves and nations. The Four Corners region is part of a larger region known as the Colorado Plateau and is mostly rural, rugged, and arid. In addition to the monument, commonly visited areas within Four Corners include Monument Valley, Mesa Verde National Park, Chaco Canyon, and Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The most populous city in the Four Corners region is Farmington, New Mexico, followed by Durango, Colorado.
Keith Rupert Murdoch /ˈmɜːrdɒk/,AC, KCSG (born 11 March 1931) is an Australian-born American media proprietor. Murdoch became managing director of Australia's News Limited, inherited from his father Sir Keith Arthur Murdoch in 1952. He is the founder, chairman and CEO of global media holding company News Corporation, the world's second-largest media conglomerate, and its successors News Corp and 21st Century Fox after the conglomerate split on 28 June 2013.
In the 1950s and '60s, he acquired a number of newspapers in Australia and New Zealand, before expanding into the United Kingdom in 1969, taking over the News of the World followed closely by The Sun. He moved to New York City in 1974 to expand into the U.S. market, but retained interests in Australia and Britain. In 1981, he bought The Times, his first British broadsheet, and became a naturalised U.S. citizen in 1985 to satisfy the legal requirement for U.S. television ownership.
In 1986, keen to adopt newer electronic publishing technologies, he consolidated his UK printing operations in Wapping, causing bitter industrial disputes. His News Corporation acquired Twentieth Century Fox (1985), HarperCollins (1989) and The Wall Street Journal (2007). He formed the British broadcaster BSkyB in 1990, and during the 1990s expanded into Asian networks and South American television. By 2000, Murdoch's News Corporation owned over 800 companies in more than 50 countries with a net worth of over $5 billion.

I interviewed respected TV journalist Paul Barry and we discussed the modern media.
Barry Humphries was interviewed by Australian-based journalist Paul Barry in 1992. This was around the time of the publication of 'More Please, Humphries' autobiography. As far as I recall, the interview was broadcast on either Lateline or The 7:30 Report in Victoria, and probably nationally as well. Unfortunately the start of the interview is missing. At the beginning of the upload, Humphries is talking about his late mother, and goes on to discuss his family background.
Who Wants to be a Billionaire? is the story of James Packers desperate battle to win his fathers love and respect. Its also a tale of billion-dollar bets gone disastrously wrong. But above all its the portrait of a troubled relationship between a dominant father and dutiful son. In this powerful sequel to his #1 Bestseller, The Rise and Rise of Kerry Packer, Paul Barry shows how James's father kept his grip on the empire even as he lay close to death. And he reveals what drives his heir. As a child James was derided by Kerry as too soft, too close to his mother, or simply 'a loser'. Since then he has struggled to make his father proud—in the only way the Packers know—by making money. Having seen Kerry lose hundreds of millions in the worlds casinos, James chose to bet billions of ...

Is Ron Paul weak on defense? The answer is a strong no from 14 year Congressman Barry Gold Water Jr, son of the famous Sentor Barry Goldwater whose presidential campaign would define the conservative movement for a generation and would later lead to the election of Ronald Reagan. No modern conservative would dare contend that any of the Goldwaters are weak on defense and yet, in this video, Barry Gold Water Jr not only claim that Ron Paul is the strongest candidate on defense but his father would have vigerously endorsed Ron Paul as well. I can think of no more credible endorsment of Ron Paul's foriegn policy. FreedomOmaha.com
