Laura Perlmutter is a film, television and digital media producer committed to creating innovative, engaging, original content.
In 2011 she graduated from the Canadian Film Centre's Producers Lab program where she produced 3 short films.
In 2012 she co-founded the company First Love Films with Andrew Nicholas McCann Smith. Since then they have produced two feature films, Don't Get Killed In Alaska and Trip To The Island, along with several shorts that have played at multiple festivals including, TIFF, Whistler and Houston Worldfest. Most recently their film The Tunnel participated in Telefilm's Not Short on Talent program at Cannes. First Love Films is currently developing several features including Almost Thirty, Window Watching, Northbound, Tenzin and the comedic TV series, Critic.

Laura Perlmutter is a film, television and digital media producer committed to creating innovative, engaging, original content.
In 2011 she graduated from the Canadian Film Centre's Producers Lab program where she produced 3 short films.
In 2012 she co-founded the company First Love Films with Andrew Nicholas McCann Smith. Since then they have produced two feature films, Don't Get Killed In Alaska and Trip To The Island, along with several shorts that have played at multiple festivals including, TIFF, Whistler and Houston Worldfest. Most recently their film The Tunnel participated in Telefilm's Not Short on Talent program at Cannes. First Love Films is currently developing several features including Almost Thirty, Window Watching, Northbound, Tenzin and the comedic TV series, Critic.
